I can tell from reading your momma’s recipte that is one delicious Thousand Island Dressing. I will be making it before the week is over. I only live about 25 miles from Disney World. Wish you could come for dinner.

Would the pickle relish used be Sweet???? or Dill??? I’m assuming sweet, but haven’t had this dressing in so long, don’t really remember.

I started making something similar this week… This was the “house dressing” my mom made while I was growing up – and I agree with the earlier poster I keep “coming back” until the salad bowl is empty when this dressing is on the veggies!

4 ingredients (although I can see where it would be yummy with the egg!)

ketchup
mayo
dill pickle relish
red wine vinegar

stir together, toss over salad

Nik Texas Pete is a staple, I think! I LOVE it in my chicken stew! Don’t you think the boiled eggs just make this dressing? I have been known to double the amount called for when its just for me!

Jo haha! Do let me know if you get to try it and especially if you like it!!! I swear, it kills me not to be able to feed all of y’all! If I was rich, I’d just start a resort and have big old banquets every day!

Pinky I LIKE YOUR PARENTING STYLE!!! Banana pudding for breakfast sounds like pure dee heaven!! You know, every now and then, I surprise my kids with pepperoni pizza for breakfast! They think that is so cool!

Cee They DID get silly stringed and just as I was hoping, it stopped everything and had them laughing and yelling “Do it again! Shoot us again!”. I have another can for on the way home, but I think they will likely sleep most of that ride! We’ve just flat out wore them out this week!! LOL

Life at the lake I try to use mine within the week. The main think you have to think about is the eggs. If it weren’t for them, it would keep much longer. You can leave them out and keep it for about two weeks in the fridge, just adding eggs when you eat it. Make sure you add them, though, they are just soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good in there!!!!!!
