Ooh, I loved the coconut pie recipe. I have an aunt who always makes a coconut cake for me when I go home (Louisiana)…and she always says to everyone else “This cake is for Angie…you can only have a piece if she says so.”

We had to sell our house last spring and alot of the dishes etc., I either gave to my kids or friends, including my crock pot which I really liked because it is so versatile. I would really like another but have to watch the pennies these days. Thanks for your recipes.

Ok.. I gotta confess. I won a cook book on here and I won a VERY nice canvas tool bag last week. I was carrying my tools in a 5 gallon pickle bucket lol.
I have my moms crock pot that is a bit too large for just me and my dad but I can make it work. I’ll concede being in this giveaway and hope it goes to someone who really needs it and can’t afford it. I have everything I need.

Laura.. go to http://www.About.com They have a contest section. I used to enter a lot of them. Word to the wise.. get a new Yahoo or Hotmail email address to use with them. You will get a tiny little bit of spam mail from them.. even if they are national contest..plus they are easier to keep up with if you keep them on one address.

Ok, I’m entering my email to get the crockpot recipe book, and have already commented on some other posts, so I already have a chance to win a new, larger crockpot. My old one technically works, but one of the handles broke off, and now there’s a screw sticking out where the handle used to be. I pick it up with a pot holder on the screw side, but sometimes I forget. Also, some crockpot recipes are for the new bigger crockpots, which is a pain because I seem to forget to reduce ONE ingredient every time I make a recipe larger or smaller LOL
PS: I can’t get the comments to remember me, so I have to fill out who I am each time I comment. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I found this site by accident and love it. The pictures are awesome and the directions so easy to follow. Being a busy single gal, working full time, with a home full of fur-children, a crock pot is my answer to a home cooked meal.

Every time I get a Southern Plate Email with all the wonderful southern recipes in it, I feel like I am in heaven. I just want to go out and buy all the ingredients to the recipes and make as many of them as I can. They all look so tasty and delicious. I wish I was born in the South and grew up with all this Southern Comfort.
Christy, It has been awhile since I commented BECAUSE I won the great Hamilton Beech 3 in 1 crockpot from your last giveaway and I’ve been busy with all kinds of slow cooker recipes. I LOVE my 3 in 1 slow cooker and everybody that sees it wants one just like it!! I, like Bill Gent, will concede if I am lucky enough to be drawn for this crock pot since I was blessed with the wonderful one from your last contest. Oh, by the way, my Taco Rex cheese dip that is in your slow cooker e-cookbook, was not really a slow cooker recipe. LOL I’m wondering if anyone has tried it in their crock pot and how did it work? I’ve only baked it in the oven.
