Southern Plate

Slow Cooker Giveaway AND FREE Slow Cooker Cookbook For EVERYONE!

Southern Plate and Hamilton Beach
are giving away another great slow cooker!

The last slow cooker giveaway was so well received that I’ve teamed up with Hamilton Beach to do it again! Special thanks to Hamilton Beach for offering this Proctor Silex Plus 1.5 Quart Slow cooker, perfect for appetizers, dips, side dishes, or desserts! This slow cooker even has a rubberized lid that seals tight with a trademarked “Lid Latch” strap which pretty much eliminated messy spills during transport! The stoneware bowl can go from slow cooker, to oven, to refrigerator, to table with ease!

HOW DO YOU WIN THIS SLOW COOKER?

All you have to do is comment on any post made on Southern Plate during the month of October between now and next Wednesday, October 29th!
For every post you comment on, you’ll have one entry!
Email subscribers automatically get one additional entry!
Next Wednesday, I’ll tally up all the comments and email subscribers and draw a number at random to announce on Southern Plate!

And Now For The *Free* Cookbook filled with wonderful slow cooker recipes!

Have you ever been “let down” by a cook book? Purchase a great cookbook and bring it home only to find that although there are some great recipes, there is very little that your family would actually eat? Well, this isn’t just ANY Slow cooker cookbook! During Southern Plate’s last slow cooker giveaway, I asked readers to send me their FAVORITE and MOST LOVED Slow cooker recipes! They responded in a big way and you’ll find every one of them in this free ebook! These are recipes from your Southern Plate friends and neighbors, and isn’t a recipe from a friend and neighbor always the best?

To receive Favorite Slow Cooker Recipes From Southern Plate Readers, simply subscribe to Southern Plate by email in the box at the top right corner of this page and you’ll receive an automatic email which includes a copy of this cookbook!

EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS ALSO RECEIVE AN ADDITONAL ENTRY INTO MY SLOW COOKER GIVEAWAY!

*What does being a Southern Plate email subscriber mean? MORE RECIPES!
Email subscribers recieve an email each time I post a new recipe on Southern Plate. They also recieve a single additional email I send out at the end of each week which includes printer friendly versions of each recipe featured on Southern Plate that past week.
From time to time, I include bonus recipes as well and plan on sending out more exclusive freebies from time to time such as this Slow Cooker recipe eBook. ALL emails are kept strictly confidential and will NEVER be accessed by anyone other than myself.
Thank you for reading Southern Plate! Good luck in the contest!
Gratefully,
Christy

I have been visiting your site for about a month, I have tried several recipes – all of which my family loved!

Just made skillet steak yesterday for lunch, chicken stew last night, crock pot apple butter & I even canned it! it was a southern plate day.

I love your site – all of these recipes I had growing up and I am very excited to find them & try them now.

Every time I get a Southern Plate Email with all the wonderful southern recipes in it, I feel like I am in heaven. I just want to go out and buy all the ingredients to the recipes and make as many of them as I can. They all look so tasty and delicious. I wish I was born in the South and grew up with all this Southern Comfort.

Christy, It has been awhile since I commented BECAUSE I won the great Hamilton Beech 3 in 1 crockpot from your last giveaway and I’ve been busy with all kinds of slow cooker recipes. I LOVE my 3 in 1 slow cooker and everybody that sees it wants one just like it!! I, like Bill Gent, will concede if I am lucky enough to be drawn for this crock pot since I was blessed with the wonderful one from your last contest. Oh, by the way, my Taco Rex cheese dip that is in your slow cooker e-cookbook, was not really a slow cooker recipe. LOL I’m wondering if anyone has tried it in their crock pot and how did it work? I’ve only baked it in the oven.

    CHRISTY,
I JUST LOVE YOUR SITE. MOST OF YOUR RECIPES I CAN SO RELATE TO. I STARTING COOKING AT THE AGE OF 6. MY MOM GOT SICK AND HAD TO STAY IN BED SO MY DAD CAME HOME FOR LUCH EVERYDAY SO I WOULD PULL UP A CHAIR TO THE STOVE AND DID WHAT MY MOM TOLD ME AND COOKED LUNCH FOR DADDY. THEN THE REST IS HISTORY. MY MOM AND BOTH MY GRANDMAS WERE MY ROLE MODELS AND I THINK I TURNED OUT TO BE A PRETTY GOD COOK.
    THANKS FOR YOUR SITE
    DARLENE

Still loving your site. Last week we made a trip to SE PA, Philly area, to visit our son and I printed out your chicken and rice recipe to make while there. It was a big hit!!! Left what was leftover for son to eat so husband and I like it so much I made it again yesterday. We love it. I am always on the lookout for quick crockpot recipes as I work 2 jobs and using the crockpot sure makes things easy in the evening instead of having to prepare a full course meal when I get home. Keep up the great work and I am putting your cookbook on my wish list for Christmas. Keep up the good work and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
