THANK YOU!! for this. My kids LOVE monkey bread. Can hardly wait to make it. My mom used to make these when I was a kid and she added pecan pieces in the layers of balls. YUMMMM!

Mmmm, monkey bread I’ve never made it for Christmas morning (I have a casserole I always make, but this would be a great sweet addition!), but when my husband and I were dating, I always made it for him to eat if I had to go out of town. He would subsist on tortilla chips and M&Ms if I didn’t cook food for him to eat while I was away! He always loved the monkey bread the best out of the food I’d leave for him I hadn’t made it in a while and he has a bad cold, and I saw your recipe so yesterday morning I made some monkey bread for him as a surprise breakfast in bed. It definitely made him feel better! Thanks!

What if you put a nut/butter/brown sugar mixture in the pan before adding any dough so it would end up being a nice topping for the monkey bread? Sounds yummy! Might stick though. Guess I’ll have to try that this weekend for experimentation purposes!

I received the pdf version of this recipe in your email today. Let me tell you… I was sitting there trying to think of an after-school snack to make and this came at the perfect time! I handed the recipe to my 7 year old and let her take over the prep work. The kids (and hubby!) enjoyed it so much that there is sadly none left. Thank you for the yummy snack, and the great memory made with my daughter today as she got to take over a recipe on her own.
