Christie you sound just like my gramma did. She was from Birmingham AL. The accent was there, but she spoke so fast, it wasn't like a drawl. All my cousins used to tell me I had the accent, but I knew I didn't (coming from SoCal) Believe me it was always remarked on when ever we visited them.

Love your recipes, keep them coming......

I've seen this recipe before but have never tried it. I'm off to the store to make sure I have FRESH baking powder and soda and I'm going to try them! I'm putting together a basket of fresh homemade cookies and candy for a benefit for a cancer patient this weekend - these will be in there - unless they all get eaten first!!

Ok, this is way after the fact, but this post inspired me to buy an AirBake knock-off around Christmas -$8 for two at Big Lots, folks! I finally got around to using one for cookies today. I don't bake a lot because my hubby low carbs, but I tempted him with chocolate chip cookies baked with Splenda. The cookie sheet really did make a difference! The bottoms weren't at all burnt and they slid right off. Thanks for the tip, Christy!

Su and Christy- Aw, shucks! Glad I could help! It just took a minute to take the butter out of the fridge and plop it on the scale! I actually use it for making herbal medicines. That was the first time I used it for food! I was using a postal scale of my husband's, but it wasn't precise enough. I got this one at TJ Maxx for about $18. It's all electronic. I know they sell simpler ones for less.

The thought of these cookies has been burning a hole in my stomach! I made some low carb brownies yesterday and, although they tasted pretty good, it wasn't quite the same!

Hey Merrie! I just LOVE that name!! You are SO sweet!!! I appreciate your kindness and faith in me!!! I am sooooo very human, I hope I don’t let you down anytime soon!! I’ll keep doing my best!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plain!! (I know y’all must get tired of that song, but I swear if I lived there I’d sing it every day!!!)

Hey Heather! hehe, I thought that was tooo precious, too! Thank you so much! I hope to do another challenge soon. Anyone got any baking issues? Hehe

Tammy Aww you are the SWEETEST thing!!!! I need to get some of my red hat pics up. I am going to work on that this week! I was an FQM and started red hatting in my mid twenties! I don’t have much time for it now (Hello, Katy!) but I do love my red hatters!!!

The pic of you in your pink hat on twitter got me all nostalgic!

Kasey What accent? LOL . Now you know I claim dual citizenship with Alabama and Tennessee, don’t you? I’m sure you sound normal ~winks~ if you were born in Tennessee, and that twang will come back b’fore ya know it!!! I do want to do more videos, but I still can’t believe you sainted people sat through all of that!!!

April I just don’t even know what to say about me being cute. I sure do wish I felt cute! You are VERY GENEROUS in your kindness!! Thank you!!! Now Brady, I’ll take that. He is so stinkin cute!!! Hehe. You know, I’ve had those airbake sheets for close to ten years now and I do just love those things, I’m glad I’m not the only one! Let me know if you get to try them and what you think!!!!

Micha LOL! We definitely need to do lunch one day!!!!

Su LOL! I dispelled all doubt there, huh? I don’t think I sound as southern as some but I admit, I do get a bit more twangy when I am in front of the camera. I tried not to but when I try to pay attention to how I am talking it sounds funny and awkward so I took my husband’s advice and just let it go and not think about it. I wonder if I really sound that way every day..hmm…

Oh stick of butter? THANK YOU SONYA!! How cool is that! I appreciate you stepping in and answering that one!!!!!!

Sharon I bet you got plenty of accent, girl!!!! Lol Thank you!!

Zesty I’m waiting on the first Zesty Challenge now!!!! Y’all check out www.zestycook.com!

Sonya Thank you so much! I need a food scale, would you believe I’ve never owned one?
