Christy, we all love the spinach dip too. After we make it up we put it in the food processor. Makes it smoother and easier to eat and you still get all the flavor.

Christy, you are right about that Atlanta Northern Georgia outlet mall! I flew to ATL from Richmond and had to ship stuff home from that place! BTW, That spinach dip is really nice put in a hollowed out loaf of Hawaiian King bread….it makes a beautiful plate presentation~ from one “foodie” to another~winks and giggles~

Not a sports fan at all!!! But enjoyed watching my sons play little league, basketball, tennis, run track while in school. But I just loved seeing the boys and cheered for all of them. One mother jumped on me for cheering for a friend on the opposite team!! Oh ,mercy,they are just children.

But I do like making all of the wonderful recipes for the parties.

I am a big football fan, ROLL TIDE! Although I don’t think we should be ugly to each other over a game. I actually made this very dip this past weekend. Just to let you know, I used lite sour cream and lite mayo and it was delicious. I included the water chestnuts cause I really like the crunch. YUMMMMM!

I grew up in Alabama and never paid any attention to football, either. When I had to attend a high school football game to write an article for Journalism class, I described scoring a touchdown as “running across the finish line.” My teacher just cracked up!

But now that I live in Iowa with a hard-core Green Bay fan for a father-in-law, I’m learning the ropes. And for the Super Bowl, I’m planning to make your Texas Caviar and Butterfinger cake. It’s all about the food for me, personally.

First time I had this dip was at my wedding 25 years ago and my mom has made it for every family event since. We add green peppers and garlic salt, and chop everything (including water chestnuts) very small. She always serves it in her “apple” Corelle bowl which was my mamaw’s or a bread bowl. I love it with carrot and celery sticks, as well as, potato chips. It will be at my SuperBowl party which I never watch either, except for the commercials…lol! Love ya Christy!
