Well, since this is kind of a Valentine’s Day give-a-way, I’ll tell my “romantic redneck husband” story. We hadn’t been married very long and I went to bed one night after my shower and a complete slathering of Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Lotion. It was supposed to help you keep your tan and I was all about keeping my tan back then. I crawled into bed and snuggled up to my husband who was about half asleep. He kind of moved closer to me put his nose in my neck and took a big whiff and said, “Mmmm, you smell good – you smell just like a freshly cleaned squirrel.”

Since we live on disability I haven’t been able to indulge in cosmetics hardly at all. Used to I never left the house with out the full makeup in place..lol. Now people just have to look at me as I am. But we are keeping the bills paid and food on the table and thats what really counts. And your recipes really come in handy for us as well as being delicious and reminding me of the way my family cooked when I was growing up…Keep up the greatttttttt work.

Laura Mercier has great products. I’ve tried the eyeshadow before and liked it a lot.
Your recipes are great Christy. I’ve made several things from your e-mails recently.
Another pineapple-up-side-down cake trick to make it extra moist – add 1 can of crushed pineapple to the cake batter. You will have to bake it a little longer, but it makes for an interesting texture and added mostness.
Your recipe was great – I recently made one and followed your suggestions for covering it over except in stead of Saran Wrap I put it in cake tray and closed the lid immediately (I have one that I use when I take cupcakes in for my kids at school and you can take out the cupcake holders and use it to hold a 9×13 cake).

Brady hardly noticed, Katy missed me a bit that night at bed time but by the time I got there the following evening to pick her up she didn’t want to go!

Ya know I’ve told ya before that I’ve been culinary-challenged for years(my poor kids), and since I’ve found SP, I’ve discovered my inner….’chef’(that’s questionable, but I’m making good stuff now. You’s my hero
I have been buying kitchen stuff like crazy(still don’t have everything I need, but it’s soo much fun) and now have more stuff to cook with than to eat on. Well, just around the same time I found you, I expanded my interest in makeup(thanks to youtube tutorials). I have been collecting a variety of brushes, and colors for my eyes, …but…I haven’t decided where I should start with lip color. I guess I haven’t been much of a girlie-girl, so some of this stuff is new to me, and for the life of me, I don’t know where the urge is coming from(now I need to get crafty). To be honest, I’ve been ’scared’ of gloss, but have been thinking of giving it a shot. I have a comfort-zone with lip color(like I only eat the club at subway) but I guess if I can change and order the sweet onion teriaki(?) chicken(yum), I can venture to the other side.
Wow, didn’t mean to write a book on ya, sorry ya’ll. I’m not trying to punish ya, I promise!
