Christy, I have an idea for the strawberry pie that I always use, take a few of really ripe strawberries and put in the hot glaze when cooking it. It will be more flavorful. And another thing, after you bake the pie crust spread 3 ozs of softened cream cheese on the crust before putting the strawberries in. It will help the crust not get soggy and will be much more delicious. I've made it this way for years..

I make this pie during the summer when I pick strawberries from my garden. This is always a family favorite. I use the pre-made graham cracker pie shells or the shortbread shells found in the baking aisle of the grocery store. I find this easier on hot summer nights rather than use the oven.

I made this yesterday morning before Church and it was good and cold for Easter lunch. My nephew has always LOVED Shoney's strawberry pie and he said this was just as good, if not better. Everyone loved it. Thanks for this recipe.

Hi Christy, I have been trying to find a Strawberry Pie like I used to get at Shoney's. I loved Shoney's, and went there all the time. Loved their Strawberry Pie. But we do not have a Shoney's anymore. I wanted a recipe, to see if I could make one as good. for Easter. Then i saw this one, and I think this is IT! I am going to make it for Easter Sunday. I am also going to try to make one with Splenda. Hope it turns out to be Great. Thank You, for so many Great Recipes, Humor. Can hardly wait to see what is next.

Do you think there is a way to do this without the cornstarch? My son loves strawberries, but has a severe allergy to anything CORN! He is also allergic to turkey and oats, so that makes it very hard for him at Thanksgiving! Before we found out about his allergies, his favorite cookie was Oatmeal Raisin.

I love your recipes because it is so easy to change out the vegetables since you use corn in many of them. Please keep the reipes coming, you are truly a gift from God!

Recipe for sugar-free fruit pies (strawberry, peach, blueberry, whatever)
Baked pie crust, 4 C. fruit, 2 C. water, 1 sm box sugar-free COOK AND SERVE (not instant) vanilla pudding, 1 sm box sugar-free strawberry (or peach or blueberry) Jello.... Cook pudding mix and water in microwave for 3 minutes or until boiling. Stir with wisk. Cook again 3 more min. Add box of Jello. Stir until Jello dissolves. Set aside to cool. Put strawberries in pie crust. Pour cooled mixture over strawberries & refrigerate for 2 hrs. Serve with fat-free Cool Whip. Delicious and NEVER FAIL. Love the strawberry, but I had already made about 5 peach pies this summer!
