I am a southerner also. I love anything in a biscuit and you are right, its the best fast food. I would rather eat at home than eat out and if I did eat out I would just be thinking of what I could have bought for that money and had extras or another meal.

This reminded me of when I was 4 years old and heading to preschool. My grandma would always make sausage and biscuits before the bus came, and not having much money to buy ziplock bags she would always put 2 of them in a butter bowl for me to take on the bus. I never thought anything about it either! Most kids would rather leave the food at home than have to carry it in a butter bowl lol. Thanks for reminding me!
