We used to make this in college all the time, but called it Chinese Chicken Salad 'cause we used Chicken flavored Ramen.....when you're poor and in college, it's all about the Ramen....we would sit and eat the entire salad right out of the bowl.

I stumbled upon your site yesterday and am thrilled, I haven't gotten through the whole thing, but so many of these recipes are what I grew up on. I just moved to Florence less than 2 years ago and it's such a refreshing change to be around true Southerners. I left Orlando after almost 40 years, and Florida is NOT the south. The recipes on this site remind bring back so many memories of my mom, my grandmom (who was from Missouri) and my best freind's mom who was from Kentucky. All good southern ladies and great southern cooks! I feel sorry for Yankees, they just don't KNOW! LOL

I made the 'puh-men-ah' cheese yesterday and it's gone already - I had been making the Bobby Deen's recipe, which is delicious, but yours is so much easier and I swear I like it as much!!! Tomorrow, I'm going to try the chicken divan.

I love your site!

Regarding your Asian Slaw recipe, it calls for 2 packages of Ramen noodles. My question is: do you put these into the salad bowl cooked or uncooked? Thank you for your responce. I'm looking forward to making this slaw!
