Quick Beefy Fiesta Bake
Courtesy of Pioneer Brand
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 package (1 oz.) Williams Chili Seasoning Mix
- 1 cup Pioneer Original or Buttermilk Biscuit and Baking Mix
- 1 can (16 oz.) refried beans
- 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies
- ¼ cup water
- 1 cup thick and chunky salsa
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Heat oven to 375ºF. Crumble and brown ground beef in large skillet. Add Williams Chili Seasoning Mix. Drain fat if desired. Set aside. Combine Pioneer Biscuit and Baking Mix, refried beans, green chilies and water in a large bowl. Spread in a 2-quart baking dish. Top with prepared meat, salsa and then cheese. Bake 25 minutes.
Garnish with one or more of the following: guacamole, sour cream, green onions, sliced olives, crumbled corn chips. Yield: 6 servings
Prep. Time: 10 minutes, Cooking Time: 25 minutes

I live in Meridianville, AL just north of Huntsville. SMALL WORLD!!! I immediately recognized the REAL southern recipes and thought, gee…reckon she’s from Alabama? SHO NUF! I’ve never seen Pioneer brand, but know I would love trying it!
I absolutely love Pioneer products – especially the biscuit mix. I not only use it for biscuits, but also for dumplings, pancakes, cobblers, etc. It’s great and yummy!

I’ve always loved Pioneer products. I recently found out about a weight watchers recipe for potato soup that uses the Pioneer fat free country gravy. It is so delicious even my 15 y/o picky son eats it.

Hey Billgent……I am giggling at your “hope” to hit 300 comments. It blew me away as i logged in to SP and saw (currently) 372! wowee wow. I loooove Pioneer brand and when I drove to Alabama/Christy’s house to visit, I stopped at every grocery store along the way to find Pioneer annnnd Moore’s Marinade….since I cannot get it in Pennsylvania. Go Pioneer, get into all those stores across the nation!!

Have been using the gravy mixes for years. Lots better than homemade. I haven’t made “scratch” bisquits in many years, just open a pack of Pioneer and there you are. Yummy.

Here in Texas, Poineer is a staple in EVERY home. If you don’t have Pioneer Country Gravy Mix, how can you make REAL chicken fried steak? Don’t forget the biscuit mix for those quick homemade biscuits before sending dear hubby and the kiddos out the door for the day!

I love the pioneer gravy mixes! One of the un-husband’s favorite meals is biscuits and gravy, and these work perfect for quickie meals! And that tin is adorable!
I have used some of the Pioneer Brand products and just love them. I also had a tin like that, but it was smaller and not as wide.

I simply LOOVVE Pioneer Brand products and use them daily. I especially like the baking mix, but the gravy mixes are second to none too.Sure makes my day easier to use good products like Pioneer Brand in my home.
