I know they were thrilled to receive the punch bowl!! What a great gift to give them. So many of the kids today will never know the true value of some of the things handed down.

Oh Christy, I don't know how I missed it! My computer sometimes doesn't show all the pictures on a page..........Oh, Oh I have the same exact punch bowl that says got with green stamps! It was my grandmother's! She actually got my Mom one too,so I have two. Well two punch bowls but some cups have broken over the years. We used it at the Holidays,no alcohol, but some really good family punches were served in there. I too have the box, but only one. I almost jumped in the computer screen when I scrolled up & saw that! In fact this past Thanksgiving,I gave it to my son & daughter-in-law who have taken over the Thanksgiving day meal. I love them so & they were both very touched to recieve it! Ok, bye, I'm going for real now.........

Oh Christy, how I LOVED visiting your home! So many of your things remind me of my home. I too, love signs & have quite a few I'd love to show you. I do believe my fav is the one I look at first as I get out of bed each morning. It says Lord, help me to remember that nothing is going to happen today that You & I can't handle. Boy have I needed to read that one several times some days! I also have some of the hand me downs from my family that say "got with green stamps" I miss those darn things! Does anyone remember when Winn Dixie had their stamp books that you got extra good deals with? I miss those too! OK, I'm getting on a rool,so I better slow down & get busy! Thanks for starting my day with all the beautiful things that make your home!

Thank you for sharing your home with us it was so beautiful. All of your special little things and your stories. My Mother was a quilter, and a wonderful cook. I was about 1o years old when my mother got her first electric stove, before that she cooked on a wood stove. She used iron skillets and pots. THe stove had a warmer on top and she would put bread left over from breakfast and dinner ( it call back then) when my FAther would come home around 12 noon to eat. What ever she cooked then would be left on the stove and we would eat this for supper. You to have great memories also. I think it is so nice when we can go back and can tell our children and grandchildren about them. You have such great stories and recipes. Love you
