I was involved in getting the Morton Salt collector plate made. I did most of the national advertizing for it too.

I have a “proof” plate which means it does not have a number on it showing how many were made because this was made as a test to be sure the quality of the plates made would be correct.

It is in perfect condition.

Would you be interested?
It would not be cheap tho.
I am thinking $100. I haven’t tried e-bay or even tried to sell it.

It was made in the 80s.

I’m still going thru all the things you have to offer here at Southern Plate! I just adore your kitchen & thank you for the link to look at all of your treasures! I was also happy to see we share the exact same punch bowl that was given to me by my Grandmother. I’ve used it over the years for Holiday parties & such & have had two of the cups broken………hhhmmm……I see you have all of yours……LOL……again,I have to say, can’t wait for your cookbook! And thanks for all the wonderful reading & recipes & just all the memories your wonderful blog brings to my mind!

Absolutely love all your collectibles and antiques,I collect some thing’s from time to time ,from yard sales and such,you can find some great find’s at times.
Your kitchen is great ,Isn’t it better to cook in a kitchen when everything is at hand.I love to cook also ,have been all my life ,since I was nine years old,You just have homey comfortable recipes ,just good home cooking.Keep up the good work,It’s appreciated.

Bless your heart thank you for sharing your home. I bout broke down and cried when I saw some of your treasures because they reminded me so very much of my family and home in Georgia. Especially the S&H green stamps. My great-grandmother was an avid collector. I now live in Virginia, still below the Mason-Dixon line, but nothing is like going home to the deep south. Thanks again for sharing your home and the great recipes.

Christy Jordan, as usual, you amaze me… I’m so glad our paths merged for a little while… I still have the cookbook you gave me (the one you published with Granny’s recipes and such with the green cover) and I still make your Triple Chocolate Brownies with milk, just like you told me to… they’re still the best brownies around! Never have gotten to say that before!

That chart was hosted on another domain which we shut down two nights ago and haven’t had time to post it again. It’s on my husband’s to do list (mine has already been written on on both sides!) and he will get to it soon. Check back in a day or so. I’ll try to remind him tonight.

I loved your kitchen,it looks very warm and the memories your treasures remind you of are priceless.It’s those kind of memories, children today don’t have and that is so sad.
