Tazo Tea Giveaway!

poulet-011

I’m excited to be able to offer a great giveaway from Tazo Tea! Of course, being my same old Southern self, when they sent me a huge box of their teas to try, I tried each blend iced! ~giggles~ Although I do enjoy hot tea from time to time, my folks just look at me like I’ve grown two heads when I tell them how good it is.

The incredibly nice folks at Tazo Tea want to give YOU a chance to try all of their teas also! They are offering a great gift package full of an assortment of teas (enough tea to keep you happy through the winter, I’ll bet!) along with this gorgeous glass pitcher made by Crate And Barrel as well as a Tazo Tea recipe book!

You’ll also receive a bottle of this fascinating sweetener. It tastes something like a mild honey and is completely organic. The neat thing is, it is a low glycemic sweetener, meaning it absorbs slower into your system to prevent sugar spikes in your blood.

I love this stuff and can’t wait to hear back from the winner how they like it, too!

I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Tazo’s products and am excited to offer a lucky reader a chance to do the same. They are available pretty much everywhere if anyone would like to try them out!

Tazo’s Mission: To bring you the most intriguging tea in the modern world, on the strength of artful blending, distinctive taste, and the use of only premium quality teas and botanicals. In other words, a tea unlike any you have ever tasted before.

To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below and tell me how you like to drink your tea.

Do you prefer it iced or hot? Cream or sugar? What blends are your favorite? Me, I’m an orange pekoe gal but sometimes I like to break it up a bit with a little Earl Grey, which is also excellent over ice!

Can’t wait to hear back from you! I’ll draw a winner this Saturday evening and send out an announcement to all of my email subscribers as well as list it on this post!

Like all Southeners, I like my ice tea sweet, no lemon (notice I said ice tea not iced tea….that’s how we say it in Louisiana). However, for my birthday this year, my girl friends took me to an Afternoon Tea at a beautiful Bed and Breakfast in a quaint little historic town. I really enjoyed the berry blend tea with honey and milk. For those of you who have never been to a “Tea”, I would highly recommend it. It was a delightful experience.

  2. Kathy

When we lived in Russia fruits were scarce in the winter. So we would add a spoonful of homemade jam to a cup of hot tea. Adds flavor, some vitamins and sweetened the tea. I still like jam in my tea.

  3. Tammy in Alabama

Being the southern girl I am I have to have my tea iced and sweet. But as I have gotten older, did I say that (OMG), I can enjoy an Earl Grey with sugar and cream and a biscotti, but only from time to time when I am have tea with my girlfriends!

Love you and all you do!
    Tammy

  4. TJBlackwell

Sweet, lots of ice, and no funky flavors. Best made with loose tea leaves, not tea bags.

  5. LisaS

My favorite tea is served at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, MA. It is the best pure black tea I have ever tasted. I like my tea with milk (preferably skim) and sugar. I also enjoy peach and/or raspberry tea on a really cold day.

P.S. I get to enjoy that tea in 7 weeks YAY!!!!

  6. Charlene Beck

I grew up on sweet Southern ice tea but now as a diabetic, I have to drink it with Equal or another sugar free sweetner but still lots of ice and lemon.

  7. Dawn

I enjoy tea both hot and cold. My favorite hot tea is ginger and lemon with a touch of honey. My favorite way to have iced tea is in a tall glass with crushed ice, lemon, and a packet of swee’n'low.

  8. Cathy in Birmingham

My favorite is good old fashioned sweet iced tea! However, I am now drinking unsweetened with Splenda or Sweet and Low :( It’s just not the same!

  9. DLBE

I too am a southern girl and prefer my tea ice cold with fresh squeezed orange juice. I also like sweet hot tea when i’m not feeling well. So I guess you could say I just love tea!!!!!

    DLBE

  10. I LOVE Tazo Passion ice tea! I can drink it by the gallon. I’m ashamed to admit, however, that I’m not a good southern girl as I prefer to drink my unsweetened.

  11. MichelleChell

I LOVE TAZO TEA!! I buy the Purple package all the time! I think it is called passion fruit. It is the one Starbucks uses.

  12. MizJenn

    Iced Earl Grey. YUM!

  13. Kim

I drink my tea as Chai in the morning.
Iced and sweetened during the day.
Herbal and non caffeine at night.

  14. Arlene Smith

Hot and sweet on cool or cold days, iced and sweet on warm or hot days. I do love flavored teas hot with a little honey and milk.

  15. Tazo Passion ice tea, yummy!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  16. I haven’t had iced tea since the unfortunate iced tea incident of 1974. Perhaps you may have heard. I was a child, running around the neighborhood on a hot summer day in Louisville and came into the house all hot and sweaty. I attempted to quench my thirst with the tea. It was so sweet, cold and delicious… I drank nearly 2 gallons in a very short amount of time. I was sicker than a dog!
The thought of iced tea brings me back to that day.

So, I prefer hot tea. My favorites are Linden and Oolong. Put sugar or honey in both. Some milk in the Oolong is very nice.

    • Sara Jones

Wow, being from the South originally (AL) I love ice tea. Having married a guy who was in the Navy and going overseas and many northern states it was always funny when I asked for ice tea and some people had no idea what I was talking about.
My most recent happening when I was in a restaurant was when some friends and I made a trip to Key West. We stopped in a Mom& Pop Cafe for lunch and when I ordered iced teas the waitress told me they had run out of iced teas. I suggested she make some. So, she brought me some hot water, 2 teas bags and a glass of ice. I did indeed make my own iced tea in that cafe. Who can imagine a restaurant/cafe running out of ice tea … not I!

Wonderful to be included in a giveaway!
      Sara

  17. Julie

That sounds really good. I love trying new things. Thanks for the great give a way!

    Julie

  18. Cathy Graham

I like my tea black and hot! Earl Grey is my favorite!

  19. Tina

What a nice giveaway! I like my iced tea strong and sweet with a little lemon. I usually like my hot tea (pekoe black) without anything in it but have added a little honey on occasion! I enjoy chamomile and oolong also. I was given agave nectar recently and have not tried it yet. Maybe right now would be a good time! Think I’ll go put the kettle on!

    Bountiful Blessings!

  20. Anne

Tea,what a great beverage! I am a transplant to the South and had to adjust to sweet tea, I love it now! In the Winter I love getting sampler pack and drinking it hot. Earl Grey, anything spicy, & English Breakfast are some of my winter favs.

  21. David P. Swindler / deaconsbench

Mighty fine giveaway! Ya done good, girl!

  22. Barbara

    I love Tazo tea!

My fave for summer: one half lemonade, sweetened with agave
one fourth cold Tazo green tea
one fourth cold Tazo passion tea

    Refreshing and thirst quenching!

  23. I actually haven’t found many teas that I like, cold or hot I do like the crystal light green tea that is flavored. I also had some sort of a fruity tea a few years ago that I liked. I think the problem is I have never had good tea to try.

  24. Rose Anne

As a replanted northerner I admit I love tea both iced and hot All tea is sweetened but only hot tea receives cream (on occasion) I love different flavors but I love them all strong!!!!!

  25. Lana

I like a hot cup of tea with sugar but I like iced tea unsweetened-yes my Mama is a Yankee!

  26. Robin

I love hot & iced tea both. If it’s iced I just like it the good ol’ fashioned way – sweet (I usually use Equal but will have to try the Agave sweetener as I’m diabetic) & w/lemon. I love all the different flavors for hot tea – cinnamon, orange, spice, etc.

  27. Barb in East Tennessee

    I LOVE tea!!
Hot tea in the morning, and iced tea the rest of the day.
I thought everybody made up a big pitcher of sweet tea each day.
There was always a pitcher in the ‘fridge when I was growin up, and always one at our house now.
In the south, it is a rite of passage when your mama lets you have a glass of sweet iced tea for supper.

  28. sharon

Being in the state of washington I crave Luzianne tea with alot of sugar, and of course you can not find Luzianne here so I have to get it mailed to me from alabama. As a travel nurse I have had sweet teas from all over the u.s. but one of the best is made using tea bags the usual way to make tea and add pineapple juice to it. Yum!

  29. Jennifer

My favorite it lightly sweetened with Splenda and hot! I love a cup of decaf green tea before bed.

I also like hot tea with lemon, occasionally, in the morning.

  30. Hi Christy,

For a moment there I thought you were giving away a bottle of Tequila! You know, I had never heard of an organic sweetener that was made out of blue agave, but that’s precisely where the best Tequila comes from.

I want to enter your giveaway. I drink herbal tea; chamomille is my favorite, with a bit of sugar, although sometimes I also boils some jamaica, add some sugar and drink it while it’s hot. I mean, cool is also great and refreshing, but hot is just perfect for those cold winter days.

  31. Suzie

I love sweet tea iced.Sometimes I make it from green tea. It’s very good & healthy. When it gets cold though I like a hot cup of orange spice with a little cream & sugar!!

  32. Elaine

Iced tea in the summer without lemon. I do use use artificial sweeteners to bypass the sugar calories. In the winter I have my morning coffee, but I turn to tea for a warming pick me up in the afternoon or evening. I am mostly a standard orange-pekoe style gal, but I love the spiced teas. Cinnamon orange or cinnamon apple are so reminiscent of autumn and winter nights by a fire. Very comforting. I also like the white teas with fruity flavorings such as strawberry. When we were young kids at home and were nauseated I remember my mom always making us toast and tea for “unhappy tummies” and she brought it to us on a clear glass apple shaped snack plate and in a clear tea cup. It made you feel so special and I think the sweet liquid did help settle stomachs and get some fluid into us or maybe it was just because mom was caring about us.

  33. Julie

During the summer, I like iced tea. I use regular tea bags – WalMart brand. During the winter, I like hot tea with honey and a wedge of lemon. I try to use mint tea if I have it on hand.

  34. Cara Drake

I love tea! Iced or hot, although it’s a little too much to try and drink hot tea in the Mississippi summer! My hands down favorite has to be chai, with oriental spice from Adagio as the base. Steep it, then add some sugar and milk…. sooooo good!

  35. Tracie

Tazo Passion Tea is my favorite! I first drank it nice and warm on my honeymoon in Hawaii – eleven years ago. To this day, whenever I drink it – I am flooded with wonderful memories.

But aside from Passion Tea – I drink all other tea iced. :-)

  36. BJ Dibert

I luv my tea, hot, sweet, and just a little milk. I also luv good ol’ southern sweet tea.

  37. Mrs. Morgan

I am a true yankee! I like my tea hot, with sugar no lemon. Unless it’s herbal tea, then hot with honey. During the summer, I’ll just pass on the sweet tea and any iced tea.

  38. I wasn’t much of a tea drinker growing up. My dad was into instant tea with lemon flavor … bleech!

After getting married 8.5 years ago, I started drinking iced sweet tea (Lipton). Since I’m dieting right now, I drink iced decaf tea sweetened with Splenda.

However, in the right setting with the appropriate babysitter, I do occasionally enjoy iced tea of the Long Island variety. :)

Since I don’t like coffee, I do like a cup of hot tea on really frigid days in the winter.

  39. I drink tea hot & cold.
I have hot tea every morning. Every.Morning.
I make a tea pot with 1 family size Luzianne bag & about 1/3 c. sugar.
After 11:00 (or so) I drink iced sweet tea. At this time of year it is usually sun tea, although fall is closing in, so it will be regular brewed sweet tea.

I would very much LOVE to win this give-a-way!

P.S. I’ve been making your Deep Dish Pizza Bake lately. We LOVE it!

  40. DJ in Alabama

Tea..Tea..Tea..I love tea…I’m embarassed to say that I just discovered the wonderful Earl Gray in January and now I cannot put it down..I love it with a little milk added..and of course as a Southern Girl I have to have my daily iced tea (sweet of course) with a little slice of lemon…

  41. Suzanne Johnson

Tea is my “virtual vacation getaway”. It’s the way I wind down at night before bed…I drink a lot of it iced during the day too, and with all the varieties the choices are endless…

  42. Laura in AL

Most of the time it is good ole sweet iced tea, but in the cooler weather I like it hot with a bit of honey and lemon.

  43. Brandy

Being a yankee, I like it cold and unsweetened!

  44. Sandra

I do love a good cup of hot tea in the morning, with just a hint of sweetener. However, my favorite way to drink tea is cold, with lots of ice and I do love it sweetened! Sometimes, a bit of lemon or mint just takes it over the top! *smile*

  45. Mike

    Iced and UN-sweetened.

  46. Well, seeing as how I’m Canadian but living in South Georgia the past 5 or so years – I like my tea any way I can get it!
In the winter, hot black or orange pekoe tea in the afternoon. Sweetened only with a little honey if I’m feeling like a treat. Don’t forget a slice of lemon for a real refresher.
In the summer, cold unsweet tea and lots of it!
When I’m feeling under the weather, hot herbal teas – as many different kinds as I can find.

  47. Carla

I mmostly drinkk water but nothing warms me up like a good cup of hot tea. I discovered Tazo Teas when I was in Tulsa at the Cancer Center of America where my brother was receiving treatment. It was in the cafeteria as well as all waiting rooms. I loved the pure clean taste of it…I tried all flavors and loved them all. I best like my hot tea with a little lemon and on rare occasion a touch of honey. I am very southern…but lived up North for 17 years where no tea was sweeteneed unless I made it…so I switched to water. LOL!

  48. We love tea in this house. I have a basket full of teas (herbal and regular) as well as a “box” in the basement storage area so we don’t run out (oh and we are huge coffee drinkers too – go figure)

I drink Earl Grey without sweetener for hot tea when hubby and I are drinking together, but do enjoy a nice cup of green tea with lemon (especially in the morning). I have quite a few herbal teas I enjoy when it is just me.

We usually use Orange Pekoe for our iced tea, which we like strong with light sweetener. I usually ask for unsweetened tea if we are out – but when I make my own I use sweetening …… I know strange.

Sorry this is so long – but you asked.

  49. Tina K

Blueberry white tea is my favorite!!! I love it hot with a sprinkle or two of splenda. Yummy. And if I don’t get to it hot, I’ll throw it over i’ve and it’s oh so good.

  50. I am a true southern girl! I like my tea sweet and in a glass full of ice. I honestly don’t know that I have ever tried hot tea although I do know I’ve thought about it. I don’t drink coffee so I kinda of stand out around the office while everyone else is grabbing their morning coffee I’m making my iced tea.
