Tazo Tea Giveaway!

poulet-011

I’m excited to be able to offer a great giveaway from Tazo Tea! Of course, being my same old Southern self, when they sent me a huge box of their teas to try, I tried each blend iced! ~giggles~ Although I do enjoy hot tea from time to time, my folks just look at me like I’ve grown two heads when I tell them how good it is.

The incredibly nice folks at Tazo Tea want to give YOU a chance to try all of their teas also! They are offering a great gift package full of an assortment of teas (enough tea to keep you happy through the winter, I’ll bet!) along with this gorgeous glass pitcher made by Crate And Barrel as well as a Tazo Tea recipe book!

You’ll also receive a bottle of this fascinating sweetener. It tastes something like a mild honey and is completely organic. The neat thing is, it is a low glycemic sweetener, meaning it absorbs slower into your system to prevent sugar spikes in your blood.

I love this stuff and can’t wait to hear back from the winner how they like it, too!

I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Tazo’s products and am excited to offer a lucky reader a chance to do the same. They are available pretty much everywhere if anyone would like to try them out!

Tazo’s Mission: To bring you the most intriguging tea in the modern world, on the strength of artful blending, distinctive taste, and the use of only premium quality teas and botanicals. In other words, a tea unlike any you have ever tasted before.

To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below and tell me how you like to drink your tea.

Do you prefer it iced or hot? Cream or sugar? What blends are your favorite? Me, I’m an orange pekoe gal but sometimes I like to break it up a bit with a little Earl Grey, which is also excellent over ice!

Can’t wait to hear back from you! I’ll draw a winner this Saturday evening and send out an announcement to all of my email subscribers as well as list it on this post!

    Iced-Unsweet with lemon–yum!

  2. Donna in SC

Orange Pekoe (always sweetened), either iced or hot. There is nothing more relaxing that a huge mug (no frilly tea cups for this old gal)of hot fresh brewed tea, laced with orange or lemon and maybe a hint of cinnamon, to fight off the night chills and make you feel special. I would love to be the lucky winner of this lovely giveaway. Thanks

  3. amy jones

I like both hot & iced tea, depends on the weather and my mood. Not southern sweet, just enough to taste a little sweet.

  4. I’m a Texas gal….gimme my sweet tea…strong with a touch of mint from right out of my back door!

  5. sandyk

I am a Texas girl and love my ice tea. but no sugar please. In the winter I love to curl up with a cup of hot sugared tea and a good book.

  6. Mary S

I am a southern girl but learned to enjoy hot tea when overseas as a Navy wife. A relaxing evening for me includes a cup of Lady Grey tea in steamed milk (no water) and just a bit of sugar.

  7. I prefer my tea iced and use a blend of green tea and cranberry.

  8. Kyra Hill

I love sweet tea with lemon, but as a treat I also love to drink Chai. When I drink hot tea, I always add milk and sugar.

  9. Camille

I drink tea hot in the winter and cold in the summer. I’m basically a purist but if I’m sick I’ll put in a little honey and lemon. I love trying new flavors and after reading some of the comments am getting ready for that experience.

  10. Carolyn

I love Chai Tea, flavored teas – some I add sweetner(no sugar), and a little milk or something. Don’t drink cold tea(except Green Tea) per dr instructions.

  11. Kathy Seawright

    Hey, Christy!

I love tea–hot or cold. I’m not a big fan of herbal teas. I prefer the real tea leaves. Bring on the caffeine. My favorite (hot) tea is Prince of Wales. It’s a black tea and I add milk, cream if I have it. Cold tea is another matter. I LOVE sweet tea, the simpler the better. Good old Luzianne is my favorite and I can drink it by the bucket-full on a hot day.

Love the website and have recommended it to others, especially my daughter who’s on her own and learning to cook. The photos really help a lot. Please keep up the good work.

Oh, tea is the perfect drink! I love all types. I like it sweetened or unsweetened, hot or cold, flavored or plain, strong or weak. I love it so much, I will be serving tea punch at my upcoming wedding! Tea is like nectar to a honey bee. Gotta go now – on my way to make a cup of licorice spice herbal tie for my throat!

  15. Ava

I like my tea anyway I can get it, iced in the summer, and hot in the winter! I don’t really care for Dandelion Tea, to me it tastes too much like what I think a weed would taste like.

  16. Dean Tubbs

Luzianne tea, medium sweet with lots of ice–lemon, sometimes.
    Winter and summer.

  17. carole

  20. Lynette

Peach tea, iced, with a slice of fresh peach instead of lemon. It’s delectable!

  21. Diana

I drink both hot and iced. I have different teas for different moods. As a general staple tea, I love green tea with lemon (hot or cold)and lots of sugar. When I can’t sleep well, I love either Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time or Bigelow’s Sweet Dreams. In the winter when it snows, I love a cup of Celestial seasonings nutcracker suite! Sometimes I add honey instead. I also love Constent Comet too!! Ok, so there isn’t much tea I don’t like!!!

  22. Martha

My fave tea at the present time is Tazo’s “Iced Black Tea” brewed in the sunshine, sweetened with a half packet of stevia and chilled with lots of ice – yummy! The citrus in the black tea is sooooo tasty! Great giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity to win….

  23. Melanie

I love cold and unsweetened, or hot with a little honey. That agave nectar looks interesting, doesn’t it?

  24. Cindy Benefield

I like my tea the same way I like my southern gentleman (husband), strong yet sweet! LOL!

  25. Pat

I love tea any way. I drink it hot in the morning and iced throughout the day. I like green, Earl Grey, orange spice, pretty much any kind except the herb teas. They’re just not for me.

  26. Melanie

I love my tea iced and sweet in the summer, and hot with milk or honey in the winter. I’ve never heard of the sweetener you have mentioned – I’d love to try it!

  27. Tiana

Love my tea iced and sweet. Except when stressed then hot and comforting.

  28. Ann L

When I drink it cold, I like it unsweetened, maybe with mint and lemon balm that has been steeped in it.

And hubby is great mixing up different blends, maybe a couple of regular old Lipton tea bags with some green tea or Chinese gunpowder tea and then an herbal tea bag or two for flavor

When I drink it hot, usually nothing added.

When I want a treat in cold weather, I love a chai tea with the added milk and sugar.

  29. Christina

  34. Carol Smith

We drink lots of iced sweet tea during the summer. I make about a gallon a day. I had never tried hot tea until this spring when I traveled to China. They don’t have iced tea there! So I drank hot tea and sometimes cold milk tea (so good!). I plan to spread my wings and try some different hot teas this winter. Taso sounds like a good place to start.

    Love your website!

  35. April in CT

  39. Miss Adrienne

I got hooked on Panera’s Iced Green Tea this summer. Mmm, so good! I tried to make my own at home from green tea but I wasn’t satisfied with the results, something to do with the sweetener I think. Well, I’d love to try the Tazo teas and see what I can come up with! I LOVE SOUTHERN PLATE!

  40. Jodi

Us girls (there are 4 in my family) like to gather around the counter in the kitchen and smell all the different tea’s we keep in our tea basket. Once we’ve made up our minds we settle down with a cup and share stories, memories, advice and our tea. We never can decide who picked the best flavor but have lots of fun arguing.

  41. LeAnn

I’m a Georgia girl who loves her golden “nectar of the Gods”….. syrupy sweet tea on ice! We call it syrup tea at our house because I make a simple syrup of sugar water, heated and then pour it into the steeping tea. Those flavors blend so well and there’s no sugar resting on the bottom of my gallon Tupperware pitcher!

  42. Georgiana

As a newly transplanted northerner to the lovely and friendly south I love my two cups a day of hot orange pekoe tea steeped quite strong with splenda and my iced tea with lemon or with a dash of raspberry syrup! Yum!

  43. priscilla

  44. priscilla

i love my tea with a little Splenda
and my Tazo mint tea with a little honey served iced :) hope to be the lucky winner.

  45. I love hot tea any time of the year. I think this Southern girl has some northern blood in here somewhere! I love it with lemon and honey. The fruity teas are my favorite…orange or lemon zinger. Decaf please! Tazo is one of my faves. Very good blends of teas.

Christy’s such a popular person! I thought I’d never get to the bottom of the list! Love Southern Plate and TEA. My favorite tea is the original Constant Comment. The aroma is very nice. I can drink it straight! No sugar or lemon required. Since I am not English, can’t imagine having milk in my tea. Have tried others, but always come back to the Constant Comment. Never tasted TAZO, but very willing to give it a try. Tea gets me going in the morning. Hot tea with honey is especially soothing when my throat is raw from a cold. The steam opens my sinuses and helps me breathe. I love holding the cup close to my nose when sipping hot tea and inhaling the aroma. Christy, keep up the good newsletters. Love your recipes and musings. Hope to be a winner.

  46. Brenae

I love my tea sweetened with a lot of ice. My favorite is black tea. When I am under the weather, hot sweetened tea is my preference

  47. Joyce Bacon

I DO live south of the Mason and Dixon Line…..Barely. Being from Maryland, my favorite teas are by Eastern Shore Tea Company. I love to start the day with a few cups of Della Robbia loose tea…straight…no additives please. In the evening, 2 cups of Canton Spice loose tea…again with no additives. Anytime I am feeling stressed, the ritual of the tea can calm and ease my mood better than any little pill. I ALWAYS drink it from a china cup, switching the design to fit my mood or the season. A long time collector, I currently have 87 cups to choose from. I am happy to see tea houses springing up all over bringing civility back to the masses.

  48. Jennifer

I like iced sweet tea but I really love hot white or green tea in fruity flavors. Right now I’m loving blueberry white tea!

  49. nangymama

I LIVE AT THE BEACH SO WE HAVE GOOD WEATHER YEAR ROUND AND DRINK ONLY SWEET ICE TEA,I GROW MINT SO I ALWAYS PUT A SPRIG OF MINT IN MY TEA!!VERY REFRESHING.

  50. Mrs. Welch in TX

    Here’s our house tea:

Boil 2 cups (distilled or purified) water. Put in one family size bag basic plain Lipton or Luzianne tea, two bags Celestial Seasonings Red Zinger, and one bag Constant Comment. Steep for 15 minutes. Take the bags out and stir in 3/4 cup sugar. Add four cups (distilled or purified) water, pour over ice …. enjoy!

If we don’t have any Red Zinger, rooibos tea tastes good in this mix too – use two bags.

Thanks for all you do, Miz Christy!
