Christy, one thought came to me as I read this today. It says a lot about that gentleman that he thought about making rounded corners on your island. That's granpa thinking for you, he didn't want them babies to bump their heads or mama to back into a sharp corner.
One time I remember in particular, about 20 years ago i guess. I had just lost my home, my husband, and was starting over with 4 kids in a singlewide trailer and an old beater of a car. I was not getting any help from anyone, I and my oldest daughter caught the flu right before Christmas. We made presents for each other, there was just no money. They remember that Christmas more than any. But one evening when things were especially tight, God sent some angels in the form of two truckloads of volunteer firemen with groceries and presents. And an area church showed up with new coats and shoes for the kids.
We are living proof of the provision of the hand of God and the hearts of good people. I will never forget that as long as I live.

WOW!!!!!! I love you kitchen island. It is beautiful. If I were picking one out, it would look just like that :). I appreciate the story about the gentleman who made it also. It is wonderful when we meet good and honest people. It kind of restores our faith in the human population.

Hi Christy. I just love your new island. The color is wonderful. Don't you just love the Nasville Fleamarket??? I love shopping for primitives for our home! We remodeled our kitchen and did our cabinets a rustic red over black-love them!
I have tried several of your recipes-they all turned out great and are keepers, especially the taco soup!! Looking forward to your new book. Have you decided where your book signing will be? Sure hope I haven't missed it. Love ya, Kathy

This lucky guy gets to eat all that good cooking that you do . He is one lucky Dud, and I have a feeling he knows that.
I am so glad you got the Island that you wanted. It pays to wait until you can get what you really want. I say , there are some good people in Tennessee..I hope you feel super good about getting your book finished. Sending love to you , Ricky and the children. )XOXOX

Christy,
When I read the words saw dust pie and Paducah, I knew I had to email you and tell you about a restaurant my husband and I go to in Grand River Ky. I did't know that Patti's had a restaurant in Paducah too. My husband and I have driven the 400 miles from North Georgia to Grand River on many occasions to eat the pork chops. I can't believe how many ways my life and your life have kinda crossed paths. Please come to Gainesville Georgia for a book signing when your recipe book comes out.
