This coffee is a combination of peppermint, chocolate, and the classically delicious Seattle’s Best Coffee. I had the pleasure of trying this coffee and I gotta tell ya, I’m not normally a flavored coffee person, but when I made up a cup of this and added creamer and Splenda, it was just like drinking a holiday latte in a coffee shop. I’m hooked and I know you will be, too!

All in all, there will be EIGHT Southern Plate Family members chosen to receive prizes from Seattle’s Best Coffee!

To enter, leave a comment below and tell me your coffee ritual if you’d like!

Every morning before leaving for work at 5:50 am., my VERY LOVING HUSBAND makes me coffee so that when I get up at 6:30 to take our daughter Haley to High School, it is hot, ready and waiting. I always tell my daughter “marry a man that will fix you coffee in the morning”…..nuff said :) Enjoy your website deliciously!!!

  2. Tiffany S.

I don’t drink coffee, but my boyfriend does! And boy is he particular about how much cream goes in. I actually like getting the coffee ready the night before and then pushing the button so it’s ready for him in the morning! I know that he would love to have some flavored coffee and these look great! I may even have a cup myself!

  3. Keri

Every morning I hear my husbands alarm, he get up and makes the coffee, and only wakes me when it is done. Then, we drink our coffee and watch the news together before we wake a grumpy three year old cindy-loo-who look-a-like. After I drop her at daycare, I celebrate getting out the door with a stop for coffee on the way to my office (I make up for the cost by packing a lunch…)

  4. I climb out of bed and head straight for the deliscious coffee maker… I need some caff help to the the kiddos ready for school!

  5. Mary Ann

I like to get the coffee pot ready the night before, so I don’t have to fumble aroung with it in the morning. On many days, I have a cup of coffee when I get home from work, just to unwind. My daughter – who is 16 now- has always loved coffee, so it is a good thing to share with her. We love to add the flavored creamers – Peppermint Mocha is my favorite Holiday flavor! =)

  6. Nicole

I am an absolute BEAR in the morning if I don’t get my POT of coffee!! LOL

  7. Cathy D

I never drank coffee… Until I got married and had kids!! Now, the coffee maker is programmed for the morning every night before I go to bed! LOL
Lately, I’ve been adding a drop or two of vanilla, some cinnamon & some nutmeg (in addition to the normal cream & sugar). I love it!! ;-)

  8. Every night before I go to bed, I get the coffee pot ready for the next morning. I grind the coffee beans, fill the water and get it all ready to click the little on switch. Because in the morning, I am a total zombie.

And when I schlump out of bed to let the dog out, I sleepily punch the “on” switch as I walk through the kitchen.

It is soooo nice to have a fresh cup of coffee when I sit down at the computer to read emails in the morning. The house is quiet, no one is up but me. I have a few minutes to myself before I start making breakfast and getting everyone up for the day. We homeschool, so a moment to myself is pure gold! My first cup of coffee in a quiet house in the morning is wonderful.

  9. David P. Swindler / deaconsbench

I subscribed to Gevalia for quite some time, but was re-introduced to Eight O’Clock 100% Columbian. Once I make a pot of coffee, I pour it into a well made insulated carafe. The morning ritual is 2 cups…1 cup at lunch, 1 cup at dinner. When I come in from work, if there is any left, I’ll nuke a cup for a minute!

  10. Jenna Jackson

My coffee maker is on a timer so it is brewed by the time I make it downstairs in the morning! I fix my travel mug to go and enjoy my coffee on my long commute to work!

  11. Cindy

I pretend to be asleep so my husband will get up & fix the coffee every morning. When the smell of coffee hits my nose, I hit the floor running. I love me some GOOD coffee in the mornings & on cold winter nights :-)

  12. Deborah Farland

I was a coffee “late bloomer.” I didn’t start drinking it until I was in my 30s and had to work late nights on patrol. At some point, coffee became my necessity to regulate a brutal work schedule. Nothing like steaming hot coffee on a cold winter workday and nothing like my homemade iced coffee on a hot summer day.

  13. Kathy

My dad was a doctor who worked long hours. I was an early riser. One of my favorite things as a young teenager was getting up early, bringing in the paper and making the coffee for him. Both were ready for him when he came to the table. It was just one thing I could do for him that I knew blessed him. He’s been gone 14 years and I still miss him like crazy.

  14. Stacey

I wake up every morning to a brewed pot before work etc, my coffee pot is set it and forget it the night before.

  15. kris

Coffee is a weekend ritual at my house… I love a slow lazy cup of coffee on the weekend! I only ever cold-brew my coffee (thanks to you), so in the winter it is a saucepan, some coffee, some milk, sugar, whatever flavorings I’m feeling that day, and a whisk… a very zen way to start your day.

  16. Candi

Love coffee!!! Found a new “must have” this morning………White Chocolate and Rasberry creamer! Oh wow…..the stuff is to die for!!! Fixed my cup this morning and went out the door taking my oldest daughter to high school…..she took one *sniff* and then drank about 1/2 of my coffee!! :)

  17. Vicki

I love SB, we have one in the Queen Building next to us. I’m in the King Building (Atlanta). I visit the Queen quite often for my SB fix…

  18. Elaine Raye

I set up my coffee maker the night before and I punch it on as I take my little dog out for his morning businees. When we get back in my coffee is ready and we settle in to watch the Today Show and check the PC for Email. After three cups of coffee I am set to get dressed and start the day. I seldom drink coffee after the morning session and I am very plain Jane with my coffee-just a splash of skim milk. The flavored coffee always looks and smalls entrancing but guess I am just a creature of habit. It would make a lovely Christmas gifts though for folks with more refined tastes.

  19. Hi Christy! Love your blog! I am a fellow Alabamian. But now I live in the Big Apple. Your blog is like a trip back home for me. Thanks!
I like lots of milk in my coffee. And Sugar. Mama used to say it was my “milkshake”

  20. Donna

The last ritual I have before bedtime is fixing my coffee pot and timer so that I will always wake up to a fresh pot of coffee. On those days when it doesn’t come one for whatever reason and I have to wait…it isn’t pretty.

  21. I love coffee in the morning to get me going. Yet at the same time I like it in the evening when the day has been crazy to help me relax.

  22. Laura Anderson

I LOVE coffee, I drink at least 3 cups every morning!!!
I just survived breast cancer and 2 surgeries and its one thing I looked forward to daily!!!
LOVE your recipes and humor Christy!
Cant wait to try SB Christmas coffees!!!!!

  23. Djuana

I love to try different flavored coffees.

  24. Alicia

My Mom is a coffee finatic. We live in Savannah, GA and the only
coffee she will drink is from a convenience store in Minnesota, where my brother lives. Nobody visits Minnesota without bringing
Mom home a truckload of coffee! My Mom and Dad drink coffee from
the time they get up until they go to bed!

  25. Kaio

I don’t talk to anyone or start work before making one. Then I sip another 1 or 2 until around 4pm.

  26. Deanie

Coffffffffffffffffeeeeeeeeee, the nectar of the God’s! Keep those mugs o’ Joe steaming! Anyone who wins this is going to love it!!!! Opps, better get up and refill my cup with some more “black gold”! :)

  27. Sharon

Dear Christy, I enjoy making a cup of coffee and sipping on it while I fix my family a good country breakfast. The smell of fresh coffee and frying bacon is wonderful.

  28. Charlotte

The best part of retirement is being able to share a full pot of coffee and the morning newspaper with my husband every morning. Keep up the great work, Christy!

  29. Marcia Collins

There is nothing better than fresh ground beans of my favorite robust coffee and then brewed in a thermal carafe so it does not get that burnt taste to it. This is what I do year round. At this time I grind half Sumatra de-caf and half Sulawezi which is caffineted and then brew it. I cannot get Sulawezi year round and then I just use regular Sumatra along with the de-caf Sumatra.

  30. Kelli Ogren

I LOVE my coffee!!! Every morning I get up and have my first cup before I wake up the girls. The house is so nice and quiet. Not for long though!!! By the time the youngest is off to school I have probably had about four cups!! The first cup is sipped slowly and is really enjoyed. The next few cups are guzzled as fast as possible!!!! :) Thanks for all the delicious recipes. I make almost all of them, and have the cookbook!!

  31. Lorie

Believe it or not, I’m 37 and just now turning into a coffee drinker! I had always thought I didn’t like it, but I needed more than my sweet tea caffeine fix to keep up with my two little boys, my day job and my night school schedule. Wow….have I been missing out or what?? Now I start my day with a big cup on my daily commute and I usually have another large cup on my way to my night classes. Sometimes I think it’s all that keeps me going! I like straight black coffee or any of the flavored ones. I’m glad I finally got on board with the whole coffee thing!

  32. Stephanie

I LOVE coffee! I can drink it any time of the day, but I love it first thing in the morning and late at night. In the morning I just want good ole regular coffee, no fancy stuff needed….but at night sometimes I like to spice things up just a bit. A good Irish coffee on the weekends is a real treat for me!

  33. I love coffee! I would like to enter this giveaway. I like my coffee either iced and black or hot with a little skim milk. I try to be good, lol! I’ll admit though, I learned about using sweetened condensed milk from reading your blog and tried it once. It was fantastic!

  34. Thanks for the chance to win! I am all about coffee, so it’s hard to pinpoint a favorite ritual, but I think my favorite time to drink it is while I’m sewing or painting :)

  35. Christina

    My coffee ritual

I have one of those Grind and Brew thermal jobs – love it. Sometimes though we just buy the beans at *big coffee chain* have them grind it for a french press and auto drip half & half – the highbred :) . In the morning my husband and I take turns who ever gets to it first starts the coffee in the machine, exactly two scoops (fancy 1/4 cup silver scooper) to 8 cups of coffee. We then enjoy our coffee always with *popular* hazelnut creamer – YUM!

In the evenings or to make ice coffees we use the french press – YUM double YUM. with hazelnut creamer.

On the weekends we linger with our cups of “joe” the baby will blow on our hot cofpee mamma. LOL

I am a coffee fanatic – LOVE IT! My kitchen is decorated with coffee stuff.

  36. Evonne

I LOVE my coffee! And yes, first thing in the morning! And well, mid-morning ,too. Well, then there’s the afternoon break. Hmmm …and of course, I have to have my after dinner coffee! Guess that pretty well covers the day! I love the quote about threading the sewing machine!! I am a work at home crafter/quilter,and I can SO identify with that!! Love this site and have passed it on to both my daughters for the great and easy recipes they love! Thanks Christy!

  37. Joy

I love coffee, extra strong French Roast, but make it with half decaf and half caf. Not awake until have a big mug in the mornings. Would love to try some of Seattle’s Best Holiday coffee’s. Married to a late bloomer coffee drinker that is happy with watery instant since he gets up much earlier than me. On the occasion we get up at the same time he is so impressed with my “strong coffee”. Glad he doesn’t know how to operate the coffee maker or grind beans!

  38. Cathy Martin

I love my coffee, I have about 8 cups a day.

  39. Carolyn

I am a tea drinker but my special coffee treat is saved for weekend mornings.
There is nothing like a splash of Amaretto to sweeten and make a relaxing cup of coffee special!! I think of my sister every time as she was the one who introduced me to this special treat!!!

  40. Tracy H.

We make coffee daily at work- not just one pot, but two or three pots! We just love our coffee- gets ya goin!

  41. Cherrill

I’m in! Just went through caffeine withdrawls (low iron) to donate plateletes yesterday. So pour me a cup of joe would ya.

  42. Angie

a cold snowy morning driving into town – it is great to have

  43. carol velasco

    I LOVE Coffee!!!

  44. mary

I love to get to work early before everyone else and make a pot of coffee and sit and drink it in peace before the phone rings and the day starts.

  45. LydiaCate

I get up before the rest of the fam. and the first thing I do is get the coffee going. I drink one cup to get my eyes open good and my heart started. I usually keep a cup with me until about 10 a.m. or so…having to reheat it several times. Sometimes in the evening I’ll fix myself a homemade latte’ with the leftover coffee from the a.m. Mmmm! Love those!
Great giveaway! I love Seattle’s coffee! Thanks for the chance!
    LydiaCate

  46. Heather Bodine

I get up at 5:30 and start the coffee pot! Two cups later and I able to function like a normal person. I use sugar and milk to give it the right taste. If it’s a good day I might have an iced coffee after dinner! Yummy

  47. Jamie

My morning ritual is a cup of mudslide coffee with 2 splendas and a dash of creamer.

The peppermint mocha trio sounds divine for the holiday season….yummmmm!!!!

  48. I like just about 1 cup of coffee in the morning. My husband on the other hand drinks the rest of the pot full.
Every morning for the last 34+ years we’ve had our morning coffee together and I can’t wait until the next morning to see what new adventure the day will bring!
    Have a great day.
    Pam

  49. Juanita

I have my coffee every morning, then usually as an afternoon pick-me-up. (And, basically, intravenously all day long!) I LOVE the flavored coffees, but my hubby, no so much.

  50. Mary

I like to have mine early in the morning before anyone else is up. I also LOVE your iced coffee recipe; it’s delicious! Keep up the good work!
