Y’all know how I love my coffee. Nothing starts my day off better than a nice cup of coffee and a little quiet time to gather my thoughts before the rest of the house files out into the world for the day. It’s a simple indulgence and, when you brew at home, an affordable one.
With the holidays coming up (no, I can’t believe its that time again, either!), coffee makes the perfect gift for a variety of people on your list. It’s useful, its enjoyed, and its a lovely way to treat them and show them you care. Beginning November fourth, Seattle’s Best is introducing an exclusive line of Holiday Blends and gift sets with price groups under $20 and even under $10 each! So today, to kick off the holidays on SouthernPlate.com, the good folks at Seattle’s Best Coffee have brought me a fabulous giveaway to offer you today and there will be not one, but EIGHT winners in this one so be sure you enter!
These holiday blends and gift sets make their debut in stores on November 4th wherever Seattle’s Best Coffee is sold or have it sent to your home at Cooks.com!

TWO lucky members of our Southern Plate Family will be receiving a Seattle’s Best Gift Set of coffee, featuring two of their most popular blends, Seattle’s Best Blend and Henry’s Blend.

TWO more members of the Southern Plate Family will each win one large bag of Seattle’s Best Sleigh Bell Blend, a blend of Latin American and Asian coffees with a medium-full bodied taste and a sweet aromatic finish.

And FOUR Lucky Southern Plate Family members will each receive one bag of Seattle’s Best Peppermint Mocha Trio. This coffee is a combination of peppermint, chocolate, and the classically delicious Seattle’s Best Coffee. I had the pleasure of trying this coffee and I gotta tell ya, I’m not normally a flavored coffee person, but when I made up a cup of this and added creamer and Splenda, it was just like drinking a holiday latte in a coffee shop. I’m hooked and I know you will be, too!
All in all, there will be EIGHT Southern Plate Family members chosen to receive prizes from Seattle’s Best Coffee!
To enter, leave a comment below and tell me your coffee ritual if you’d like!

Is anyone able to start their day without a cup of joe?I’m always willing to try new flavors.
Oh my Gosh! My husband and I love Seattle’s Best coffee! Our alarm clock goes of at 4:00 am everyday and my sweet husband will go downstairs and make my coffee for me. He is so sweet. A friend of ours brought back some Seattle’s Best coffee when she went to visit her parents who summer in Seattle. It was great. On the weekends we sit and read the newpaper curled up on the couch or outside while we drink our coffee. This is the best time of the week for me.
Thanks Christie for all you do!
I’m not a hot coffee drinker, but I LOVE ice coffee…..go figure.
The Peppermint Trio sounds like it would be wonderful as a iced coffee.
I enjoy coffee and sure would like to this brand.
These look great, Christy!! Makes the holidays seem even closer, despite the fact that we are still having warm weather in Texas. Thank you! A great cup of coffee sounds good any time of day!
I love coffee and with Greek inlaws…we drink it on into the night!
I am lucky enough to have a Seattle’s Best drive through just 2 blocks away from my house. It is great coffee and I Would love to try some other flavors.
Living in the South, gives me the opportunity to enjoy strong cajun coffee too.
I have two teenagers and teach four year olds. No better reasons to LOVE and NEED my coffee every morning!
I had my first cup of coffee when I was in the 8th grade with my late grandmother. She made us breakfast before school and I asked to try it. Then it became a wonderful habit! I also travel with my own coffee creamer. Oh, and I have never been to Starbucks! Shocker!
I set up my coffee pot every night so that all I have to do is hit the power button in the morning to start my day off right! I have a blend of hazelnut and regular coffee (made my self) that I fix so there is just enough for 2…that is 2 in my favorite large mug! LOL My husband only likes a sip of coffee when we get super cold weather, which is not often down here on the MS Gulf Coast….so my huge mug is just right! Oh, how smooth and warm it feels when that first sip goes down!!
My sweet hubby always has my coffee pot ready along with my cup on the counter with a spoon and packs of splenda..He is soooo good to me. We both love coffee. He is in the Navy so you know he could use all the coffee he can get. Than you for this wonderful giveaway. Now lets see if I can figure out how to post this on my blogwww.angeliashappyhome.blogspot.com
and on my facebook..because I am a fan and a follower of your’s on faceboog and your blog. I wanted to let you know I love your taped segments from the news cahnnel you work with…you are a natural on T.V. christy.
Many Blessing’s
Ann
I really don’t drink much coffee…only when the urge hits me. However, my dd, ds, & dh LOVE coffee and have it just about every day. DD gets up, takes dogs out, feeds dogs, gets shower & dressed, then heads straight to the coffee pot to get it a brewin’. They have developed the “I can’t wake up without the ‘go-go juice’” mentality. It’s hilarious some days to watch them argue over who gets the last coffee if I’ve decided I would like some!
OMG! I would love to win some coffee.I am a bit of a prude I am afraid.I have never tried any special blends or flavored coffees.
I just love, love love my morning coffee.
Coffee…..is my aroma therapy…only I get to drink it too…LOL
I love it. Early on a summer morn….I love to go outside with a warm cup and listen and watch the sprinkler water the yard….the sound and the way the sun shines throught the droplets making them glsiten like rare summer jewels feeds all the senses….and maybe I like it because I remember my dad(a firefighter in the military and early riser!!) used to do the same before heading to work…he would stand posed on the porch with one hand on his mug of coffee and the other on his hip dressed in his military fatigues, eyeing the day with dutiful(sp?) anticipation!
I really enjoy it so much it’s one of my favorite things…Recently I had Pinon coffee in Ruidoso New Mexico at the Cornerstone Bakery cafe…it was so good…(pinon nuts are a favorite of the region!)
Mmmmm coffee…. having some now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love my coffee with 3 Splendas and 2 coffeemate creamers. Yummy! I normally sip on my coffee while reading this page. I am always looking for something new to try.
I have so enjoyed ICED coffee this summer, but am ready to switch back to my regular mid-afternoon cup of hot coffee as soon as the weather gets just a little cooler. By the way…I’ve lived in the Nashville area for the last 24 yrs, but hail from Scottsboro, Al not far from you. Next time I’m down I’ll give you a good ole fashioned “holler”! lol
I would love to win the flavored coffee. One of life’s many pleasures.
Well, I use a yard sale Senseo on the weekdays because I only have time for one cup before I leave for work! Unfortunately, good flavors of pre-made pods are getting harder to find! I do have a Coffee Duck which lets you use your own brand of coffee, but it takes a little more time to set up than the pods!
On the weekends, I pulled out my regular old auto drip machine since my husband drinks coffee with me at home then.
I have always enjoyed coffee in the morning but when these cool, crisp mornings come around, a hot cup in the morning is wonderful. Night time can require a relaxing cup of coffee to wind down from a very busy day.
good afternoon Ms. Christy!!! greetings from Indiana-were it IS a little colder than my beloved Kentucky—so I REALLY need extra coffee here!My hoosier husband of almost 40 years doesn’t even drink coffee-but he always has a pot ready for when I get up in the morning to get ready for work–when I get home-usually the coffee pot is ready to go again!
I love Seattle Best Coffee. I have not tryed the flavored ones yet. But I like a nice hot cup in the morning and then at night.
I just wish I had a bigger coffee mug……
I drink 2 cups of coffee upon waking each morning. The stronger the better. If you can stand a spoon up in it, it is just right.
I love my first coffee of the day, but it doesnt stop there..All day at work I love to sip on coffee. If I get too stressed at work, then I get my coffee and add a favored creamer and just relax! Cause life too short not to enjoy your coffee!!!
Great giveaway Christy!!
I used to drink coffee all day long when I was a busy paralegal, but now it’s exactly 2 large cups, every morning, made in a French press. I make it as soon as I get up, and enjoy it before the rest of the household stirs. I love my coffee and my coffee time! I’ve always wanted to try the Seattle’s Best coffees and all of these sound yummy!
Girl I start a coffee IV every morning!
Great site! I look forward to visiting it often. I have tried some the reciepes and haven’t been disappointed one bit.
Coffee is a staple in my house, The one I look forward to the most is Sunday morning when everyone is still in bed and I have time to refect on things, and spead time to myself.
I would love to win this for my husband who saves money by making his own lattes at home! Thanks!
The smell of coffee is my wake-up call. Love the smell of it brewing.
Coffee coffee I love the aroma, the smell reminds me of memories, as a kid trying to sneek sips from grandmas cup, and now as a grown lady I have had the pleasure of having her(my coffee) at my table every mornings, sometimes she comes strong, that’s okay she doesn’t mind if you sweetening her up, sometimes I come strong and then she sweetens me up. We’ve gotten to know each other well over the years. We meet every morning.
I’m not a coffee drinker, but know several people that are, so there are times that I do make caffee. Some of these flavors sound really good.
I NEVER drank coffee until I began dating my husband. He encouraged me to try a cup one day and now I’m hooked. The only catch is, I’m a terrible coffee maker – he makes it for me. I love flavored coffees and/or flavored creamers. Nothing’s better than a cup of coffee and time alone with my husband after the kid’s are in bed!
I drag myself out of bed and start the coffe maker then I wake hubby up and then my 4yr old son that like most nights had to wake me up to walk him to the bathroom at 2:30 am from his room. Then I sneak in the kitchen to get a wiff of the coffe brewing as I head to my room to get dressed. When Im finished I make a cup of coffe and stand at the counter and watch my boys (son and Hubby) have breakfast together and I know I am so Blessed……..!!!
My Mama and I were huge coffee drinkers when she was living with me and now that she resides with my sister instead, I don’t have that urge to brew a pot anymore. It was always nice waking up and sharing a cup with her in the morning. I miss it actually ..
My little Dutch Mother in law loves her ‘koffee’ just like my own Mama and when I was living in the Netherlands, I was able to share my love for coffee with her. Even though I don’t have coffee anymore, I think the two most important ladies in my life would absolutely be in Heaven having some actual Seattle coffee. My MIL would walk around bragging that her daughter in law sent her something from America, especially something so tasty, with love.
I could alway keep one and be nostalgic ..
It’s funny how coffee can bring people together .. I love my two little ‘Mothers’
I love coffee on Sunday morning – grind fresh beans, brew the pot and drink it with the Sunday paper. During the week its brew the pot and both my husband and I drink it on to work but I love getting to savor it on Sundays.
This is great. We love their coffee.
I do not have blood coursing through my veins – it is coffee! The smell of coffee alone puts me in a good place……it is the first thing I do in the morning, even before running to the bathroom I reheat a saved cup from the previous day so that it is ready when I come out. I fix the coffee maker the night before and prepare my cold cup to microwave first thing in my morning. My 2 year old grandson thinks every cup with a handle is ‘Gramma’s Coffee’! So needless to say, I’ve twittered, facebooked, and will add your link to my blog!

I love first morning peace and quiet, make my coffee, metitate another day, count my blessings and enjoy my coffee. Then I wake up my husband fix his breakfast and lunch, give him a kiss and send him off to work for another blessed day!
I love my morning cup of coffee. I have to have it to get me going! Sometimes I need it in the afternoon, too, for a pick me up, especially when I have kids to run all over the place and house work to do
My favorite memories are drinking coffee at home with my son when he is on leave from the Army. We talke about it and write about it when he is deployed. It gets him thru the bad times.
I’m a mother of 5 beautiful children. Coffee is the only thing that aids in the survival of getting a group of this size up and out the door in the mornings!! If I’m lucky my littlest ones sleep in a bit and after the bigger ones are off to school, I can actually sit and regroup for the day ahead! It’s one of few things that I do just for me. What is especially nice is on the weekends my wonderful husband, even though he has worked long hours all week at work, will wake up early to fix it and lets me sleep in a bit!!
My husband loves his coffee in the mornings with a packet of hot chocolate in it. So I start his day off right by fixing his cup right before he leaves.
Oooh! I love to do that too!
I’m not a big coffee drinker, but my DH is. He drinks it constantly, from the time he gets up til the time he goes to bed.
One of my favorite memories of my grandfather involves coffee. He passed away when I was seven, but I can still remember him sitting at the kitchen table intentionally “spilling” some of his coffee into his saucer and “sopping” it up with one of grandma’s homemade biscuits. I have always loved the smell of coffee, but now as an adult I love it as much as he did!
I have one large cup of Costa Rican coffee with vanilla fat free cream and Stevia every morning….yummy!
Christy & Seattle’s Best, We LOVE you. Thanks for the wonderful coffee blends. I can hear the sleigh bells already
.
I start everyday with a cup(or 3)of coffee while I check email. It’s the only way to start the day…..
I love to wake up in the morning, walk out onto the porch and look at the beautiful West Virginia mountains as the sun rises with my cup of coffee. I will sit out on the porch and just drink coffee, no matter how cold it is outside. And with the seasons getting colder and the holidays nearing, it makes it a perfect time of year for it.
NEED…COFFEE…NOW!!!!
In the wintertime I seem to drink coffee all day. I just can not seem to function without my morning cup. I hope one of the flavors involve a cinnamon coffee. Wow, what a holiday cup of cheer that would be. Thanks for all the recipes and great stories that go along with each. Keep up the good work.
I drink coffee as a treat once in awhile, but my hubby loves it. We need to grind the coffee- we tried going with already ground cheap coffee to save some money and it was sad! So back to the grinder!
