Y’all know how I love my coffee. Nothing starts my day off better than a nice cup of coffee and a little quiet time to gather my thoughts before the rest of the house files out into the world for the day. It’s a simple indulgence and, when you brew at home, an affordable one.
With the holidays coming up (no, I can’t believe its that time again, either!), coffee makes the perfect gift for a variety of people on your list. It’s useful, its enjoyed, and its a lovely way to treat them and show them you care. Beginning November fourth, Seattle’s Best is introducing an exclusive line of Holiday Blends and gift sets with price groups under $20 and even under $10 each! So today, to kick off the holidays on SouthernPlate.com, the good folks at Seattle’s Best Coffee have brought me a fabulous giveaway to offer you today and there will be not one, but EIGHT winners in this one so be sure you enter!
These holiday blends and gift sets make their debut in stores on November 4th wherever Seattle’s Best Coffee is sold or have it sent to your home at Cooks.com!

TWO lucky members of our Southern Plate Family will be receiving a Seattle’s Best Gift Set of coffee, featuring two of their most popular blends, Seattle’s Best Blend and Henry’s Blend.

TWO more members of the Southern Plate Family will each win one large bag of Seattle’s Best Sleigh Bell Blend, a blend of Latin American and Asian coffees with a medium-full bodied taste and a sweet aromatic finish.

And FOUR Lucky Southern Plate Family members will each receive one bag of Seattle’s Best Peppermint Mocha Trio. This coffee is a combination of peppermint, chocolate, and the classically delicious Seattle’s Best Coffee. I had the pleasure of trying this coffee and I gotta tell ya, I’m not normally a flavored coffee person, but when I made up a cup of this and added creamer and Splenda, it was just like drinking a holiday latte in a coffee shop. I’m hooked and I know you will be, too!
All in all, there will be EIGHT Southern Plate Family members chosen to receive prizes from Seattle’s Best Coffee!
To enter, leave a comment below and tell me your coffee ritual if you’d like!
Do you slip out of bed before everyone else to sneak a cup in before the day begins? Do you wait until sitting at the breakfast table with your family? Do you enjoy coffee in the evenings, mornings, or throughout the day? I’d love to hear about it and we’d love for you to enter our giveaway!

I love my coffee. There is always a pot on everyday, all day. Would love to be a winner.
We are coffee drinkers here. We make two pots a day! My son makes one for work in the morning, then the hubs gets up and finishes any coffee left from that pot. He makes another pot or I make it when I get up. I drink a cup or two in the evening after dinner too. I have not tried Seattles coffee but would like to.
Get up, find the slippers, oops they are on the wrong feet. Put slippers on the right feet. Squint to see the clock, yes, it is time to get up. Put on glasses and double check the clock. Tell husband to get up, listen to the groan, groan myself. Trod down stairs and push the coffee button. Smell the brew, life is improving. Hear the final hot water pass through the filter, wipe the sleep from my eyes, what day is it? Take a sip,aah yes,it will be a great day!
Love the smell of coffee but I don’t drink it. My husband loves it.
He drinks 10 cups per day. He cannot do a thing without his coffee first thing when he gets up.
Just black in the mornings. My grandma told me I wasn’t a good Swede, because I didn’t drink coffee. Now I drink it, so I must be a good Swede. My favorite coffee tradition is drinking black coffee and nibbling on cheddar cheese. Don’t grimace at it unless you try it! It is so good, one of those amazing meldings of flavors that compliment each other.
I fill up my extra large travel mug and head off to work before the sun is fully up! I could not get through the morning without my coffee.
I love a hot cup of coffee when I am freezing cold. It warms me right up….as to when, only when I am cold, about once a month. Hubby drinks it morning noon and evening whenever he can.
Having just discovered Seattle’s Best Coffee in September while I was is Vancouver, I fell in love with it. Then when I got home my 83 year old mom told me that she had just had her first cup of Seattle’s Best and really loved it. Her 89 year old boyfriend had made a pot from the Seattle’s Best that his grandson had sent him from Seattle. So I was planning to try to order some for her as part of her Christmas stocking stuffers! Sure would be great to win some!
COFFEE! How can I resist!
I have a pretty interesting relationship with coffee… I love it, I treat it well… and it treats me well. In my Google profile I list my superpower as,
Now don’t get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing better first thing in the morning that to wake up with the hint of a fresh brewed pot of dark roast tickling your nose. But maybe the best time for a good cup of coffee is, well, right now. Its a little past 12:30 and I’m still here working away. Oh how wonderful would that hot cup ‘o joe go down.
Funny, I guess some things really don’t change very much. I just went for a quick look-see and found this post I wrote about the Perfect Cup of Internet Fuel all the way back in January of 2008! Wow, and it seems like yesterday.
My wife calls me a coffee snob because I tend to choose the darker roasts and of course I have to grind my own… only whole bean for me! But secretly… I’ll take just about anything I can get! Even the stuff they make in the community coffee pot at the office!
Thanks for an another awesome opportunity to talk about my favorite elixir!
@jtrigsby
I make coffee as soon as I wake up and I make another pot in the early evening. I come from a long line of coffee addicts!
I follow you on Twitter and here is my tweet:

I became a fan on Facebook.
I happily consider myself a coffee snob! I LOVE LOVE my coffee. But I have decided that life is too short to drink bad coffee. Seattles Best is great coffee and I am happy to say good enough for this confirmed coffee snob. I would so enjoy winning some of this delicious coffee!!
Thanks for a great site!!
My kids fight over who gets to stir the sugar ad half and half into my coffee in the morning. My 4 year old daughter is convinced that the way she stirs the coffee makes it “the best coffee ever for you mommy!” So sweet!
In the winter, fall and spring, when I wake up with enough time in the morning, I love a cup of coffee. Sometimes I wait until mid afternoon to get a cup of joe. In the summertime -it’s your iced coffee recipe several times a day – I’m so hooked
There is probably nothing which smells better than coffee!
I do not know how I would function without that cup of coffee in the morning.
I love Seattle’s Best! My husband and I discovered it on our honeymoon in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We were thrilled to find it in our local grocery store when we returned home to NC and switched from one of the national brands. We love the coffee and now have a great reminder of our amazing trip to Big Sky country.
Love your site!! Coffee every morning coffeemate & splenda!
I love your website – I just recently discovered it. I’ve tried your Southern Teacakes recipe and loved it. I plan to try several that I’ve read here.
My coffee riturl is a non-fat latte with 1 tsp of Splenda each and every morning of the year. I make it at home so I save some $$$ that way. Of course, once in a while…..I think I deserve a 2nd latte and swing over to Starbuck’s on the way to work (and there’s several along the way).
Thanks for such a great blog!
Diana G.
I fix the coffeemaker the night before, then when morning comes, jump out of bed and turn it on and jump back into bed while it makes (it’s not the timer kind). Then, when I hear it start slowing down, I jump back up fix my cup with cream and Splenda and then, then, then, I get back into the warm cozy bed with my cup of hot steaming coffee and sip it as I watch the news! Heavenly!
I love, love, love flavored coffees.
I am an occasional coffee drinker, but I LOVE flavored blends or specialty blends. When I do decide to have a cup, it’s usually with company or on a cold morning, and sometimes when I just feel a little under the weather and want a warm cuppa in the morning before starting my day. I always keep coffee though, so that anyone who comes to stay can help themselves to their morning ritual, even away from home. thanks for the great giveaway!
Being a Pacific Northwesterner, I CANNOT start my day without the “cup o’ joe”. I fresh grind my beans and then French press my coffee. Splenda, half-n-half, cinnamon and I am set for whatever the day ahead holds.
OK, tweeted, followed and became a fan on facebook!
I have a new Keurig, so I am enjoying all kinds of k-cups! Yum! This Seattle’s Best coffee would be great in my machine, too! Thanks for a chance to win.
I have an internet business so I get to “work in my jammies” as they say. My day HAS to start with coffee and I make it first thing when I wake up. I come in and fire up the computer while it brews, then sit down to start my day with my great cup of joe. VERY important, and this routine cannot be changed!
My coffee maker is set on a timer. So, I set it up at night and the next morning LOOK FORWARD to it!!!!!!:)Nothing beats the smell of coffee!!!!
Love your site!!!!!The apple dapple cake ROCKS!
I usually don’t drink coffee but would love to try the new flavors!!!!! Then I think I would be hooked!
Please enter me! I didn’t start drinking coffee until i was well into my 30′s so i’m new to this but TOTALLY addicted. my husband calls it my morning crack. if you offered me a cup just before i went to bed i would say “yes…who needs sleep when there is fresh coffee”
There is nothing like the smell of a good cup of coffee in the morning….now if I can find a man to have it ready for me in the morning when I wake up I will be in business.
My ritual is as soon as I get up, I brew coffee, grab a cup and then drink it while I sit at the computer checking email, facebook and entering sweepstakes.
I love good coffee!
Thank you for sharing…….
I would love to win one of these coffee packages. Good coffee is the only special thing that I ever buy for myself and Seattles best is my favorite. If I won this it would be very special. Thank you, LaPaula
I’m NOT a morning person at all and my co-workers are affected by this. If I do not have my morning coffee fix I’m hell to deal with. =[
My coffee routine is frantically rushing to Starbucks so I can make my 8-12 morning hours breeze by! =]
I have a “delay brew” on my coffeemaker…so it’s always set the night before to start 10 minutes before the alarm so I can wake up to fresh, hot coffee–whoot! Especially handy now that cold weather is coming!
I love my flavored coffee in the morning. We have a family friend staying with us who is an early-bird. He gets up and makes a pot of French Vanilla Coffee every morning. I wake up to the aroma of that fabulous coffee wafting through the house! That’s HIS favorite, but I like lots of differnt coffees! I have a fingers worth of coffee, and 3 fingers worth of creamer, like butter pecan, or whatever suits my fancy that day. I call it FOO-FOO coffee!
Give me some steaming coffee with s/f French Vanilla creamer and I’m a happy lady! Love your posts!!
My coffee has to be made when my feet hit the floor. Gotta love those program machines. I am hooked on Hazelnut Creme at the moment. I would love to try that peppermint and chocolate one. I enjoy my 1st cup reading the news on the net all alone.
If I drink coffee I have to have a little coffee with my cream and sugar..haha. Now my daughter, who’s 14, has always loved coffee. My parents shared theirs with her when she was little and she’s loved it ever since. It would be nice to win some and maybe I’ll put it in her stocking at Christmas. Thanks! =)
These all look and sound delicious. They would be wonderful to have for the holidays!
I love to drink coffee in the winter. My husbands makes it before he goes to work and all I have to do is pour a cup (sorry ladies, he’s taken). When I started drinking coffee I put cream and sugar, then only cream and now I drink it black. Sometimes I like the flavored creams when some of my “buds” and I are enjoying a cup
I meant husband. I only have one LOL
I’m not one of those people who drink coffee all day…………….but I gotta’ have it in the morning. Two cups. I put a tiny bit of sweetener and 2% milk. My coffee has to be strong, I like a very dark roast, I love it in the morning!
I would absolutely love to share this coffee with my wonderful family!!!
I am like the cookie monster with coffee… I even talk like him when I wake up… coffffffffffffffeeeeeeeeee
I like to drink my coffee while looking out the window and watching the birds in my bird feeder. The simple pleasures mean the most in life.
I fill the coffee maker before going to bed so I can wake up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee in the morning. I have just recently tried Seattle’s Best and it’s wonderful! I would love to win one of the gift sets!!
I AM A TRUE COFFEE LOVER. I HAVE MY OWN COMMERCIAL COFFEE MAKER WITH WATER PIPED IN SO ALL I HAVE TO DO IS FIX THE COFFEE AND PUSH A BUTTON AND IN 3 MINUTES I HAVE MY COFFEE FIX. I ALSO DRINK COFFEE DURING THE DAY AND AT NIGHT. HAVING GRANDPARENTS FROM LOUISIANA, COFFEE IS IN MY BLOOD. I WOULD LOVE TO WIN THE COFFEE GIFT SET.
In my house, the alarm clock goes off and I stumble into the kitchen and hit the little red button on the coffee maker. Then I take my puppies out, followed by waking up anyone else left to be roused. Then I go back to the kitchen, pour a fresh hot steamy cup of Joe, and sit on my bar stool sipping and watching the news for about half an hour – just long enough to get a bathroom to myself so I can officially get ready for the day. We are a family of seven.
)
Only one cup a day and that’s espresso with lots of half & half and sugar ! I want to be up and drink in total silence to hear the sounds of birds. I was in Seattle and got to try their coffee so I’m looking forward to winning some !
