Love your recipes. Chex mix is one of my favorites. Nice to be able to make it in the microwave. I add Cheez-its to mine.

When I make my Chex Mix I add about (who measures?) 1/2 cup of dark brown sugar. It adds another level to the mix like a hint of sweet to the salty, spicy. You can taste the "sauce" before adding it to the cereal and nuts.

I make treat bags for all of my coworkers at the holidays. (I work in an elementary school). I make HUGE batches. It takes me an entire day. I have always used the oven, so it is a lengthy process, but this year...I am going to try the microwave! I am excited about the time savings. I hope it is just as good. I have a couple of tips. I don't add the nuts until I put the mix in bags. I add it to each individual bag...that way everyone gets an even amount. Also, I add red and green m & m's to each individual bag. Merry Christmas!

Try using roasted pecans, french onion, and sprinkle with taco seasoning instead of season salt. I found this recipe in Mississippi Magazine they called it Mississippi Confetti

Love the idea of being able to do in microwave, but we make in such big batches, the oven is still probably more efficient for us--aside from the fact that my microwave is a teeny, tiny thing.

We usually use 3 types of Chex (type) cereals. Also Cheerios and pretzels. I like the idea of using the Honey Nut Cheerios that someone posted earlier and the Goldfish and Cheezits. May try that this year.

Merry Christmas!!!!!
