use parsley instead. i’m one (and maybe you are too)of those rare people that thinks cilantro tastes like soap/metal. it’s supposed to be a genetic thing.

I froze the soup minus the tortillas. Heated up fine from the freezer. I added the corn tortilla strips and cooked an additional 10 minutes but they disintegrated. (Read another comment that said the same thing.)
It thickened the soup and still tasted good but wondered if that’s what is supposed to happen. Maybe next time I’ll add tortilla chips on top instead.

Just have to thank you again for this recipe. Everytime I fix a batch of it we swoon all over again. Love it. And it makes a big enough batch that I can freeze some for those days when I do not feel like cooking. Great recipe.
