I had a wonderful time visiting with my Southern Plate family on the book tour. From time to time, I’ll venture out to speaking engagements or other appearances. Stay tuned to this page and our Facebook Events Page to be kept up to date on those!

Note: Like you, my family comes first. While I appreciate all of the invitations I receive, I cannot take money out of our family budget in order to travel to venues.

I was so hoping I could catch you in Georgia or Florida as we head South for the winter!!!! Here’s an idea = let’s meet at Paula Deen’s “The Lady & Sons” for lunch in early December = my treat!!! Maybe I could be lucky enough to meet TWO of my favorite Souther Lady Cooks!!!!

.Found your site and it’s like meeting an old friend. Originally from Chattanooga, TN love cooking southern recipes for my family and friends. Wish St. Louis, MO was on your itinerary. Moved here 20 years ago and love the weather and the people. Hope we get on your book schedule soon. Thanks for your wealth of southern recipes. i’ll have to get out Mama old recipe box and see if I can find some of her favorites. I’ve read through all your recipes on Southern Plate and found out that your Mama and my Mama loved her family enough to cook up good food even if we didn’t have lot of money.
I’m really enjoying your cookbook. I’ll see you tomorrow night in Atlanta with two friends from church, who bake amazing cupcakes. I’ve told them all about you and they are eager to meet you. Hugs!

Are you coming to California?? I finally got your book. My daughter and I were so excited to get it. She knows I love to sit and look at all your recipes and print them up and then make it the next day. Now I have a wonderful cookbook to look at . I hope you can make it here someday.

I bought your book on iTunes. I love the way it is laid out by seasons. When I got to “the part” I cried my eyes out for you. Great book, WONDERFUL family.

Thank goodness you made it to Houston
You were off Memorial, which is about an hour from me and on a Monday night, makes it hard to get there in time -but thanks to my wonderful mother she drove down and met you and picked up your cookbook for me. She told me I must wait till Christmas to thumb through it and ear mark my favorite recipes 
I have hopes that she will grow tired of looking at my “pouty face” and give in early 
* big grin*
I made the Pizza Rolls Friday night and they were delicious- my family loves them and my husband is asking for more to take to work for lunches during the week. Thanks for all the wonderful stories that go along with the wonderful recipes!

Hi, I just love your book! I got mine at Walmart here in Gaffney S.C. How can I get a signed book plate for my book? You and your family are just Awesome!
You deserve every minute of every tv show. If Paula Deen can be onJay Leno last night, you can be there also. I would love to see you on David Letterman and teach him to cook something for his young son or bring Brady to teach his son how to do a dish… idea?

I am going to call first thing in the morning and try to get a ticket for the Today Show. I have cooked nothing but recipes from your book and every one has been a big hit. Seeing you would be the best Christmas present, and having you sign my book would be unbelieveable. When you come up to NY in December could you also bring some of your beautiful southern weather? Please keep your recipes and pictures and stories of your beautiful family coming, reading you everyday has become a n enjoyable daily habit.

Christy, that is fantastic, and I’m so happy for you and happy that the SP family will be able to see you on TV. In spite of the fact that you have gained celebrity status, we know that you will still be the same sweet, southern Alabama girl that we have all come to love. Even though many of us have never met you in person, we still feel that we “know” you. Congratulations!!

Being on the Today show is “walking in tall cotton.” I am trying to sound southern. LOL. I live in southern Ohio.

I purchased your book for the wonderful recipes. I will cherish your book for the wonderful sense of family that you write with each recipe. I know we’re not considered completely southern, but you should make your way up towards St.Louis
I love St Louis and have never been, would love to! If the right opportunity presents itself (if I can afford to, in other words!) I would jump at the chance!

Christy, I live in Owens Cross Roads, Al. I’m really enjoying your posts and am looking forward to trying lots of your recipes. We’re having our Thanksgiving dinner today, and I’ve got my turkey cooking in the bag right now, and I’m fixing to put my cornbread dressing in the crock-pot, thank you very much! When will you be coming back to Baldwin or Mobile County in Alabama. I have grown to be a huge fan of your site and I cannot wait to be able to get the cookbooks! My husband adores your banana pudding recipe.
