Hey Christy! I hope you come back to the Dallas area again. I’ve only started reading Southernplate the last few months. It has been a true joy to read your posts, and get to try your recipes. I just made your fresh strawberry cake tonight for my son’s teacher appreciation brunch tomorrow. I know they are gonna love it!! My Aunt always makes strawberry cake with homemade vanilla ice cream when we come to visit. I can’t wait to eat to have a slice tomorrow, and my poor children were literally crying to have a bite of it tonight. I let them lick the cream cheese frosting off the spoon though! I just may have to make another one tomorrow especially for them. Your sweet spirit and love of life comes out so clearly in your posts and is truly contagious. Thank you so much!!!!

Could you possibly come to visit our library for a midday book signing and talk? We have a great monthly author event and since Selma has no bookstore, we have folks who LOVE to buy books especially with an author’s own autograph. We are planning our 2011-2012 series and think you would have a great time here in Selma, Alabama…we are close enough to drive and get home before dark! PLEASE give us consideration!
