I’m not southern born, but I do love to cook and eat southern food! In the west we eat Stuffing, so my favorite southern food has to be Chicken and Dressing, and I’m very partial to my mother-in-law’s recipe.

Soooo many things! Fried green tomatoes, low country shrimp & grits, pecan pie – just for starters.

  21. I hope I’m doing this right. I have enough difficulty just being on facebook so I don’t twitter. Heck I just noticed I spelled my own name wrong and had to correct it. I do love southern food though and the fried cabbage recipe just made me crave it so i’ll be off to the store shortly. And if you don’t have that bacon on hand you should at least have a jar of drippings in the frig.
