Thank your Mama for me. Yummy doesn’t even begin to describe it. And you also saved my strawberries. They were about to need throwing away because some had already begun to mold (I know that’s gross) but I didn’t realize it until I got them out to make this cobbler. I saved enough though. Great recipe…a true Southern classic. This is the way my dear husband’s granny taught me to make her cobbler, although she either did pear or peaches. Strawberries are on sale everywhere so I think I’ll be making this for dessert soon. We like it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Thanks Christy’s mama. I have a similar recipe called dump cobbler because like this one everything is just dumped in. I have made everything with it from apple to pumpkin using canned pie filling and they are always delicious. Even in all this snow now I want to run and get some strawberries!

I love anything that starts with, “You take a stick of butter…” My 10 year old granddaughter made her first cobbler using blackberries and this recipe last weekend. She was so proud, and pawpaw was so happy!
