Mother's Kindness Basket: 16.25" x 11" x 4.5" Generously sized to hold a 9x13 casserole dish

This is the third Southern Plate basket offered, but the FIRST in the Family Series.

There will be three others in the family series offered with baskets honoring the character traits we admire most in those we love.

The upcoming baskets in the Family Series are:

  • Father’s Honor (Available May 2012)
  • Grandmother’s Patience (Available April 2013)
  • Grandfather’s Wisdom (Available May 2014)

Each basket will be a different design and baskets will vary in size but all will match to create a beautiful set.

There has been great demand for previously released baskets, which greatly increases their collectibility as Southern plate grows. However, there will be no re-releases of past baskets in order to protect the value for those who own the originals. Here is your chance to get in on the first of our new four part series.

Only orders received by April 15th are guaranteed to be delivered by Mother’s Day.

  • Orders received after April 15th, please allow four to five weeks for delivery.
  • Each basket and liner are handmade and your patience will be rewarded with made in the USA quality.

This basket will not be heavily advertised so please let your friends know if you think they’d like to order a basket.

Due to production cost and time, no “extra” baskets will be made other than those ordered.

Don’t miss the first basket in the series –

A GREAT Mother’s Day Gift!

As in past baskets, I have tried to keep the price as low as possible. However, I have had to add in the expense of having boxes made for these larger baskets to fit into for shipping purposes. This is the largest basket I’ve offered and the price for Southern Plate Family Members is still below suggested retail.  Any profit made will go to do something fun around Christmas. The past two years I’ve been able to adopt a local nursing home and give a gift to each resident on Christmas Eve!

  1. I ordered my basket. It is beautiful. I never saw the baskets you sold in the past, but they are very pretty.

    THANK YOU CHRISTY

  2. Could you tell me what company makes these baskets?

  3. Opps, I went to the top of this page and saw the headline of The Longaberger Co. LGreat choice of basketmakers. They are the best!

  4. Diane

How many of you attended the Longaberger parties back in the 1970′s??? Oops showing the age now – Christy you were just a child. This size is so handy for transporting casseroles and last forever.

Will there be a posting soon of when we can see you and Ms. Paula on the flat screen?

  5. Liz

The baskets are beautiful and I love that they’re so big. 9×13 always makes me think of my first Southern Plate discovery, the Butterfinger Cake.

  6. Taterbug

It’s awesome for me that they are being sold in April; a quick forward to my hubby, and my birthday present request is done. :) They’re absolutely beautiful baskets – did you design them, Christy? Or maybe your husband, since he’s an engineer?

  7. Sheree

Christy your basket is beautiful. I’ll have to put it on my wish list for now. Love your cookbook.

  8. Kay Cooper

I ordered mine and they look so beautifu!

  9. Maria "Ladybug" Ga

Love this basket, my daughters will be so happy when they receive these. Love everything you do.

  10. Libby

The basket looks very nice, but I wish you would make some in colors other than red. I know this sounds silly, but I am a HUGE Auburn fan and just can’t make myself by the basket because of all the red on it. LOL Plus, my kitchen is in green, brown and orange and the red would clash. Looking forward to seeing baskets in other colors in the future.

  11. Cathie

The 2011 Mother’s basket is beautiful. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and have gotten many comments on it. I keep checking your website to order the 2012 Father’s basket that was supposed to be available in May 2012. When will we be able to order it? I keep checking because I do not want to miss it!!
