My Christmas Menu 2011 – and A Post For YOUR Christmas Wishes!
Please leave your Christmas Wishes for the Southern Plate family in the comments section on this post! Thank you!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I hope you are having a wonderful holiday and I hope you all have an abundance of Christmas in your heart! I wanted to send you our Christmas card and share with you what I’ll be serving on Christmas day when my parents, my in laws, and some dear friends come to have lunch with us.
I’m smoking a pork loin as the entree – so that part is taken care of. The rest of my menu is a broad mix made up of everyone’s special requests! I’m also listing some additional ideas at the bottom in case you are looking for that one extra dish to add.
Please have a wonderful Christmas and remember, it’s not about what is under the tree, but the people around it

Christy, What a wonderful Day After Christmas video you put together! My apologies for the delayed Christmas wishes… so take this message as an early New Year’s note – Praying glorious blessings for your family this New Year’s Eve and throughout 2012.
Thank you so much Cheryl! I hope that you have a truly blessed New Year!!!!
Christy, it is a joy everyday to read your FB post and the Southern Plate site. I have loved all of it since finding it in the summer. I chuckle, laugh, reminience as you write about your life and the family and the funny tutorials. You are a gifted writer and love your desire to share your love of cooking and family with others. The friendliest and best site ever!!! Many wishes for your new year to be a blessed and happy one!
The only thing I asked my husband to buy me for Christmas was your book. And might I add just how glad I am I did. I love the cookbook sooooo much. I think the part I love the best is the stories that you put in it. I am not a great cook by no means but I try. Thank you for the simple recipes and the love that is obvious you put into it.
Christy, I think your Granny’s Sheath Cake is the best chocolate cake I’ve ever eater/made. I want to make it for a birthday cake. Do you think it would translate to a layer cake?
Many thanks for the GREAT recipe!
Hi Deb, I responded to this on Facebook but if you didn’t get it just let me know.
Amazing job! You have made our lives so easier by posting so many delicious recipes. You know what the most important issue on any occasion is to decide what to cook? Thank you for helping us. Now we just need a paper and a pen.
Really appreciated.
