The recipe I’d like to share is for “Lemon Poppy Seed Bread” and is one of my best-loved recipes from my Mom. True, it uses a cake mix, but sometimes you just GOTTA!

This is one of my grandmama’s favorite cakes so she often has it sitting under a dome on her counter whenever folks come to visit. It is very moist and flavorful, just the right thing for a hot summer’s day or a picnic.

This recipe for an Orange Juice Cake was passed down to me by my Aunt Sue, about a year ago. My Aunt Sue and I have always been very close, when I was a little girl she loved to take the curling iron to my hair and add a dab of makeup to my face then take me through every room in her house (except the bathroom of course) and take tons of pictures of me.
