It’s that time of year, y’all! I LOVE apple season and all of the wondrous recipes that go with it. With that in mind, today I’m kicking off my 9th annual Apple Week on Southern Plate! Each year I dedicate a week to sharing a whole slew of delicious apple recipes with you. So pull up a chair, grab a glass, and let me pour you up some of this Apple Juice Brew I’m serving today!
Despite the name, Apple Juice Brew is a family friendly recipe. If you haven’t caught on by now, my husband and I are teetotalers so you’ll only see family friendly drinks on SouthernPlate anyway. Each year we love to take the kids out to a local orchard, pick up some freshly picked apples, grab a few apple cider slushies, and head home to commence the apple baking! Today’s recipe is a decadently easy drink that everyone just loves and is even a little bit better than a fresh apple cider slushy (I understand if you just gasped in horror, but trust me on this).
Just yesterday we headed out to our local orchard. We like to visit Isom’s in Athens, Alabama, where we used to live. Wait, we didn’t live at the orchard, we had a house, but we just about lived there during apple season. Pictured above are me and my hubby of nigh on twenty years and our daughter and her best friend. Also pictured, the recipe I am sharing today that you need to make ASAP.
To make this you’ll need: Apple Juice, Marshmallow Cream, and Butterscotch Syrup. Oh and some ice.
You may want some whipped cream to garnish them with.
I love what the butterscotch syrup does to this drink!
Place all ingredients in a blender.
Oh my goodness, this is so good!!!! That marshmallow cream whips it all up into the most glorious texture and the ice is gonna make this nice and slushy like, too!
Divide among 3-4 glasses, top with whipped cream (if you like) and an extra drizzle of butterscotch syrup.
I would LOVE for you to subscribe to my free recipe newsletter.
