Butterfinger Cake is THAT cake that you take anywhere & everywhere & it's devoured. It is so moist, delicious, and decadent!

Ingredients

  • 1 box devil’s food cake mix
  • 12 ounce jar caramel topping
  • 14 ounce can Condensed milk
  • 16 ounce container frozen whipped topping thawed
  • 1 Butterfinger candy bar crushed

Instructions

  • Prepare cake according to package directions and bake in a 9x13 pan.
  • Immediately after removing cake from oven, poke several holes all over the top with a fork. Mix sweetened condensed milk and caramel together, pour over hot cake, spread it over the entire cake. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.
  • After cake has chilled completely, spread cool whip over the top and sprinkle crushed Butterfinger bar on top of cool whip.

I asked some of my fellowship group friends on Facebook to share any quotes that were special to them and Darrelyn Kelley shared this one. As I started reading it I thought “yes! I love this! Exactly!” and then I saw who had originally said it, lol. I guess it’s good I agree!

  1. I’ve fixed this many times and it’s always been a favorite at church socials. I take a fork and tear up the top of cake instead of poking. Put some crushed Butterfinger on top of cake and cool whip both.
    I’ve some salted caramel in the store and been thinking about trying that in one.

  2. This cake is wonderful! My 22-year-old daughter has baked it several times for friends of hers because they all know how good it is, and it isn’t hard to make, either. We highly recommend it!

  3. Gonna make this cake for thanksgiving dinner at my Mom’s. Mom can’t cook any more and Daddy passed away this summer so it is up to us 5 girls to cook for Thanksgiving. My brother will take Daddy’s place carving the turkey. My Daddy could clean a turkey or chicken carcass and leave it looking like it was ready for display in a museum. TY for the recipe Christy.

  4. This sure looks rich! One thing I noticed in the list of ingredients it says “condensed milk” but the instructions call for “sweetened condensed milk”…..I’m going with sweetened condensed milk because how can you go wrong with that on anything?!?
