GOOD MORNING Friends!
What a glorious introduction to Fall we’ve had this week! Today I’m bringing you a few photos, some great new recipes, quotes to inspire you (and make you think) as well as a good news story that is sure to make your tear ducts spring a leak! It is my sincere hope that you will find something useful, something inspiring, and something encouraging in this week’s Gazette.
Thank you for being such a special part of my life and for letting me be a small part of your very special life!
Christy, Phil 1:12
Encouraging One Another!
There are a few key things that we, as human beings, need to be focusing on in this time in history. One of those is remembering the humanity of others. We have to actively cultivate our ability to look at another human being as a person who has struggles, hopes, dreams, passions, and gifts to offer to us and to the world. In a world that seeks to divide us, we have to remember our common ground. That is why videos like this are so important: They take a complete stranger and they connect us to him. Good luck not crying along with this wonderful man at such a precious moment in his life!
This week on Southern Plate
This week on SouthernPlate:
Faux Pecan Pie (a taste twin to it’s cousin with no nuts!)
Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies (chewy and delicious!)
Today on Southernplate Faith, we finish up the book of Genesis! If you missed out, you can now begin on your own and go at your own pace. To see all of the Genesis study notes, click here. I strongly recommend you begin at Genesis 1 and go in order. The Father began at the beginning, and so should we. To visit SouthernPlate Faith, click here.
This Week’s Coffee Chat
There isn’t a coffee chat this week to afford me more time to work on my Bible notes for the study, watch a few sunrises, develop recipes, and work on a few projects. I’ll be back with a live coffee chat next week at 7:00 am on the “big” Facebook page and I’ll make sure I share it in next week’s gazette, too!
Recipes from Friends
This week I’m sharing two delicious recipe from friends!
DIY Pumpkin Spice Blend from A Southern Soul
Southern Fried Banana Pudding Pie from Stacy Lyn Harris
From My Instagram
This one is not on my Instagram yet but I have SO MANY pictures of a recent adventure coming next week on instagram and this will be among them. Click here to follow me on Instagram if you’d like to see a glimpse into the things I love most in life, along with quotes and recipes of course! Ricky and I didn’t plan on both wearing statement shirts this day. He is wearing one that I designed that says Test Everything, Thessalonians 5:21, and I am wearing one that has a Hebrew sentence on it which I can actually read now!
I’ve finally found a method of learning Hebrew that works for me. I have friends who are fluent in reading Hebrew and they say there is just nothing like being able to read the original Hebrew manuscripts of the Bible. A little time each day and I can already well see myself doing that someday! I love learning new things and y’all, you are never too old and it is never too late to learn something new. It’s an investment in yourself! Anyway, my shirt is Hebrew, transliterated is says “Bo Yeshua” which, in today’s English would translate to “Come Jesus”. Now click here to follow me on Instagram!
