  1. On a hot day I want NOTHING hot to eat let alone turn the crock pot on…..don’t even want to light a match. What do you suggest for days like that? Do you have any ideas for COLD FOODS aside from the norm of sandwiches with cold cuts, BLTs, cold chicken (nobody here likes chicken), and they think cold roast been strips in a salad is completely and utterly ridiculous….I don’t. (I like a “heavy” BLT once in a while made with Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayonnaise, Egg Salad, and a thin slice of ham all put together on some larger than usual bread slices – Artisan Bread?) But one can’t eat that every day when we have a heat wave – which is all summer to me.

    1. Hey Deb!
Well on a GOOD NOTE summer must be a great time for weight loss in your house! I think it is with most people though, usually due to additional outdoor activity. Sounds like you may be a fruit person. That and in season veggies are the best thing to eat right now. Raw foods are also great for you!
Hope to you back in the kitchen this fall!

  2. Just wanted you to know–I made the Buttermilk Peach Pie for lunch today. It was a huge hit! Thanks
