About a week ago, I received a challenge from Tricia over at 1stopmom.com. She swore that she couldn’t make cookies and I said that not only could she, but I would make a video showing her how and guarantee it! The below video explains all of the details and today is the big reveal…did I succeed? Did I fail? I have been anxious for the past few days, worried that I was a bit too confident in my own abilities.
1stopmom didn’t even tell ME how it turned out, I had to find out first thing this morning! I told her if they turned out right, I’d do another video of myself singing Row, Row, Row Your Boat backwards – will I be singing?
My video tutorial of how to make these cookies.

I’m going to be holding my breath!
Here’s the recipe:
Mrs. Field’s $250 Cookies
Cream together:
2 cups butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups sugar
Add:
4 eggs
2 t. vanilla
Mix together:
4 cups flour
1 t. salt
2 t. baking powder
2 t. soda
5 cups oatmeal (Put small amounts in blender after measuring until it turns to powder)
Mix together all ingredients-add 24 oz. bag of chocolate chips, 1 8 oz. plain hershey bar ( finely grated), 3 cups chopped nuts ( any kind- I use pecans). Bake on ungreased cookie sheet. Make golf ball sized cookies 2″ apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 minutes. Makes 112 cookies.
Y’all know I can’t actually bring you a recipe and not go off on tangents…here is my tangents and bloopers reel.
