Ice Cream Sundae Walnuts in Syrup
walnuts or pecans, chopped
light corn syrup
(salted or unsalted is fine)
Place brown sugar, syrup, butter, and milk into large sauce pot over medium heat. Bring just to a boil while stirring constantly.
Allow to boil for five minutes, still stirring, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nuts. Allow to cool.
Once cooled, transfer to mason jar or container of choice and store in the fridge. Will be good for several weeks to a few months, when stored properly in the fridge.
This is delicious over a variety of treats, including ice cream, cheesecake, and pancakes!
