Ingredients
12ozRotini Pasta Noodles
1lbItalian sausage or ground beefor half of each
1small oniondiced
2clovesgarlicminced
1jar24 oz pasta sauce (any variety you like)
1tspItalian seasoning
½tspsalt
½tspblack pepper
1½cupsshredded mozzarella cheese
½cupgrated Parmesan
Instructions
Boil the pasta in salted water until just shy of al dente (it’ll finish cooking in the oven). Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook sausage with onion over medium heat. Drain grease, then stir in garlic, pasta sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl (or right in the skillet if it’s big enough), mix the meat sauce with the cooked pasta. Stir in 1 cup of mozzarella and the Parmesan.
Pour into a greased 9x13" baking dish. Top with the remaining ½ cup of mozzarella.
Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving — it sets up better and the flavor deepens. Serve warm.
