Ingredients
1/2cupsalted buttersoftened
1cupgranulated sugar
1 1/2tspvanilla extract
3 egg whiteslarge
1 1/2cupall-purpose flour
2tspbaking powder
1/2cupmilk
1tsporange extract
2-4dropsorange gel food coloring
Frosting
1ozcream cheesesoftened
1/2cuppowdered sugar
1cupheavy whipping cream
1tspvanilla extract

orange gel candies
Instructions
In a large bowl, using a hand or stand mixer, cream the butter and sugar. Mix in the vanilla and egg whites. Mix in the flour and baking soda. Add in the extract and slowly pour in the milk while continuously mixing. Mix in the food coloring.
Fill the 12 cupcake liners evenly with the batter. Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
For the Frosting:
Cream the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Add in the whipping cream and vanilla, mix on high speed until stiff peaks form. Add food coloring if desired. Frost the 12 cupcakes with swirls using a 1M Wilton tip. Top with orange gel candies.
Cupcakes will need to be refrigerated due to the whipped topping. Will remain good for 3-4 days.
