  1. Christy,
So excited about all Yum has to offer regarding your recipes! Thank you! Still praying for your Sweetie to come home. I have two dog babies of my own and my heart breaks for you. Love your blog, your video chats and everything you post! A faithful reader!

  2. Thank you for all your hard work, Christy! Yummly is a good site, but I can see one thing on the right side that is getting to be a trend…and it’s not a good trend to me because it obscures what you have put on the page. One was a picture of someone you had put in the layout and all that stuff that is “promoted” covered all but a sliver of the left side of whoever it was. They could have left that small part unobscured, but chose not to. Guess I may stick around SouthernPlate.com. There is only about an inch of a tab banner at the top and I can live with that.

I want to give you a bit of encouragement about Sweetie. My neighbor’s dog went missing for 6 weeks and suddenly one afternoon appeared back at home! It was during the horrible weather back in January over a year ago. There was snow on the ground when she disappeared and her owners went through that “not knowing’ where their furbaby was really hard. When she appeared back home yu could tell she had been fed and cared for by someone, but the first chance she got to run free, she ran home. I have been praying for the safe reurn of Sweetie

  3. Christy, this seems like an amazing addition to the wonderful service you already provide! I have followed your site for a long time but only recently purchased one of your cookbooks. I am 67 yrs.old and find myself cooking for the first time in my life. My husband says he has never in his life eaten so well. His appreciation means so much to me. We both can’t thank you enough!

      1. I forgot to mention that my husband says that your bread pudding is the absolute best he has ever eaten and he lives for bread pudding!

  4. Christy, that Yummly site is awesome! I signed up, (so easy), and have been playing around with it. How cool. Thanks!

I’ve been worrying about and praying for your precious little Sweetie, and checking your Facebook page constantly for an update. I so hope she returns to your family soon!

  5. Hooray! Hooray! I don’t have a printer so have been handwriting the recipes I want to keep and they are numerous. Now I have a question. After the Nasty Other site ditched us I transferred my treasured collection to Epicurious. Is there any way to transport them into my new yummly account.?

    1. I don’t think there is anyway to do that since they are added to your recipe box by clicking the “yum” button or “yumming” them on SouthernPlate.com. BUT I am learning new things that Yummly offers every day and I will be sure and let you know if I find out differently!

  6. KK says,
Christy, you are a gift to us all from God! You are so amazing as to “how” you squeeze 36 hours into one day. Thank you for your new site, we’ve all been waiting and wishing for this to happen and leave it up to you-bound & determined to get it done. You and your family are blessings to all of us. I am a dog lover too; I know your heart is hurting. I will pray that Sweetie is found safe & sound and returned home where she belongs.
