Wow… Flour and baking always remind me of my mama and my grandma… such good times in the kitchen. My grandma always wanted to slice the top of a fresh baked pound cake and eat the crust part. One night she was making a pound cake and when she turned it out it slipped and hit the table (first time in 80+ years). I heard her scream… I ran in and saw the mess… looked at her and said… well one good thing… we can cut the top off and eat it now…. she laughed and we got the cold milk and went to town. Then we turned it into a raspberry triffle.
