I Love cornbread baked on top of beans and franks with cheese on top the beans to act as a barrier between the cornbread and beans/franks…gives you what taste like a corndog and beans all together!
Cornbread and chilli are my gotta have menu for football season.
Blessed to be born and raised in N.E. Alabama. We just had the Dixie cornbread from one of Christy’s cookbooks for our family Easter dinner. It was just delishous!

Oh how I wish I could come to the Cornbread Festival! I’m from Sewanee, TN which is just up the mountain from South Pittsburgh! We love to stop at The Lodge there on our way back home from visiting my family. I was raised on my grandmother’s cornbread every Sunday after church. There’s just nothing any better. I love all of your cornbread recipes, and plan to try them out on my family!
