Contest closes at midnight Saturday night, October 29th at midnight. Winner announced Monday on Facebook.

Don’t you just love seeing the gorgeous food on the cover of each issue of Southern Living? Today I thought it might be fun if you join me in my kitchen while I cook the cover!

Note: I cut the cooking time by about ten minutes when I baked it in a 9×13 pan instead of the suggested springform pan.

For this recipe, pick up a copy of the November 2011 issue of Southern Living or visit them online at SouthernLiving.com (click here to go directly to the recipe).

But I *really* think you should get a copy because there are 103 recipes in this issue alone!

  1. Oh me that cover looks fabulous! I really loved watching you cook the cover but the kids are just so darned cute I don’t think I could have waited for the topping before giving them a taste 🙂

As a “lover of all things cookbook” I would love an autograph copy of your book. If I’m not so lucky I will be putting it on my list of things I would like for Christmas – even my starving poor college student daughter would enjoy this – so one way or the other ……

  2. Like that even though ypu have a busy life, family and their comforts come first. Enjoy comments about yoyr family!

  3. Congratulations!!!! Love following you through facebook and your e-mails. Would soooo love to win your book. I purchased your cookbook when it first came out and passed it on to my mom. Y’all cook so much alike. Reading the stories of your family brought back very fond memories of my childhood!!! Congratulations again and Happy Holidays, they are coming fast upon us.

  4. Love how you use whatever is handy for you, like the 13×9 pan instead of a springform pan. Like I always say, I’m the one making it so I’ll do it however I want!! Congrats Christy!!
