Sweet Coffee-Flavored Syrup Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

  • Brewed Red Diamond coffee
  • Granulated sugar

How to Make Sweet Coffee-Flavored Syrup

Place the brewed coffee and sugar in a small saucepot over medium-high heat.

Bring to a boil while stirring constantly. Once at a boil, continue to stir and boil for three minutes, then remove the saucepot from the heat.

Allow the syrup to cool slightly before placing it in a container in the refrigerator. It will keep for up to a month.

Recipe Notes

  • Here are some more serving suggestions for your coffee-flavored syrup:
    • Add it to the hot and cold milk of your choice (can be whole milk or coconut milk, for example) to make coffee milk.
    • Drizzle it on baked goods like pies or the coffee butter cake mentioned below.
    • A fun party idea is to add it to cocktails.
    • Drizzle it over pancakes, French toast, waffles, or crepes instead of maple syrup.
    • Instead of chocolate sauce, add this coffee syrup to your next bowl of ice cream or ice cream sundae.
  • Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract to your coffee-flavored syrup to enhance the flavor.
  • For a different flavor, you can substitute granulated sugar for brown sugar. Other options include Splenda, pure cane sugar, and coconut sugar. Do what works for you.

Cup of coffee.

Start your day with a little boost!

Of course, every day at my house begins with a pot of coffee. I usually have it brewed by 4:00 each morning and I’m on my second cup by the time my husband wakes up. It’s a warm and wonderful way to start my day as I sit in a quiet house, sip my coffee, and mentally prepare for the day.

Use it as a reminder to slow down

My husband and I are afternoon/evening coffee drinkers as well. Once we finish supper, we like to go sit down together with a cup and talk over our day, discuss what we’ve been reading, and gather our thoughts as we unwind together. 1. Thanks for explaining that ample spices are also important to look into when planning to find the right sweet syrup to use. I plan to look for a good seller of coffee-infused maple syrup because I’d like to cut down on my caffeine consumption. Getting to still consume a little bit of coffee even without drinking it seems to be the right way to go.

  2. I was looking for a recipe like this to drizzle on the tarimasu I’m making for Thanksgiving. It’s a coffee desert but everyone always puts chocolate on the top. I can’t wait to try this! Thank you

  5. I was looking for the amount of water as well. I just don’t see it. Coffee grounds and sugar have to have some sort of water don’t they? Sorry Christy!

  6. Hi! This sounds scrumptious! Have you ever made it with brown sugar? I wonder how it would change the consistency…..
