Contest closes at midnight Saturday night, October 29th at midnight. Winner announced Monday on Facebook.

Don’t you just love seeing the gorgeous food on the cover of each issue of Southern Living? Today I thought it might be fun if you join me in my kitchen while I cook the cover!

Note: I cut the cooking time by about ten minutes when I baked it in a 9×13 pan instead of the suggested springform pan.

For this recipe, pick up a copy of the November 2011 issue of Southern Living or visit them online at SouthernLiving.com (click here to go directly to the recipe).

But I *really* think you should get a copy because there are 103 recipes in this issue alone!

  1. I love your Southern Plate recipe book (I bought it on QVC)! I plan to give some as gifts this year. And, I do have the new November Southern Living magazine! The cover recipe caught my eye – but my goodness! There are sooooo many more recipes inside!! I can’t wait to give some a try!

  2. I would love an autographed copy of your cook book! I enjoy your daily recipes and most of all your stories! You cook a lot like my mother cooked when I was much younger….a little of this and a little of that! Momma was a great cook and well known in our area for her cooking! All the hunters would gather at our house before going out to deer hunt just for her “cathead” biscuits and gravy and bacon and sausage and scrambled eggs. I still use many of her favorite recipes. Thank you once again for really brightening my day with your recipes and funny quotes and stories.

  3. I’ve been a fan for a long time, and I always will be! Even in SoCal , you help me stay close to my southern roots! Thank you!!
