Homemade Thousand Island Dressing
Homemade Thousand Island Dressing

If you like Thousand Island Dressing, here is your warning: tasting this homemade Thousand Island dressing will officially ruin you for all other versions.
We eat this on hamburgers, and salads (of course), dip carrots & celery sticks in it, and I have been known to go to the fridge with a spoon from time to time just to taste it!
This is Thousand Island at its freshest, creamiest best.ย
I am serious โ do NOT make this if you want to fall back on store-bought versions.ย
You will rue the day Kraft ever decided to desecrate such a wondrous invention.

You’ll need: Chili sauce, mayonnaise, pickle relish, three or four hard-boiled eggs, and some finely diced onion.
Place mayo in a bowl. That looks kind of gross, doesn’t it? Hang in there โ I promise the outcome will be DIVINE!
Pour in your onion.
Dice up your eggs and add them in there.
Add chili sauce. I didn’t add the whole bottle โ you can go by the recipe for the perfect amount.
Add pickle relish โ again, add the amount according to the recipe.
Stir, Stir, Stir!
And Voila! *Chef’s kiss!*

How long will this keep in the fridge?
Hey Vickie! Saw your comment on Facebook and responded there. Because homemade Thousand Island dressing includes egg, it should be stored in the fridge and used within 3โ5 days. Keep it tightly covered and always trust your sensesโif it doesnโt smell right, itโs time to toss it.
Loved this!! And I also got a chuckle out of your no-show pimento. Dr. Seuss would have been proud! Big blessings!
Blessings to you as well Joann!!!
minced or finely cut celery, red onion slivered, mayo, catsup, tobasco sauce, celery seed and ms dash. Best sauce for a Rueben I’ve ever had. Put it on a ham and cheese sandwich and nuke it!!
