  1. Hello and blessings of the seasons to you and yours. I have a question that might beven off the subject, but here goes. When I first moved here to Southeast Texas, one treat I discovered were little fried pies sold at the checkout counter in most convenience stores and gas stations. These were pies shapped more like what my Mother would call english beef or cornish pasties. A half moon shape fruit pie. One in particular that I liked was filled with just a raisin filling, almost like mincemeat. After a few years they stopped this variety of pie. This was back in the early 1970’s, I don’t know why they fell out of favor. Do you know if this was a southern pie, and if so do you have a recipe for it.

  2. Thank you for sharing these with us. It never fails, I forget to put something on the table that I have made and forgot. Some years my lists have lists ! Now I will be more organized.
