Why You’ll Love This Iced Cherry Apple Tea

If you’re looking for a naturally sweet, antioxidant-packed drink that’s surprisingly good for you, boy, do I have the tea for you! This mix is bold, tart, and fruity with a clean finish, thanks to black cherry berry tea and Bragg’s apple cider vinegar. Add your favorite sweetener, some ice, and you’ve got the perfect summer sipper. Or spring. Or Tuesday afternoon. Honestly, it’s a great iced tea any time of year—it’s part herbal tea and part tangy refresher.

This stuff has helped me kick my cravings for junk food and my one true weakness, Dirty Dr. Pepper. Just make sure you’re using the good stuff with the “mother” at the bottom (I swear by Bragg’s), and you’re sipping on a probiotic boost, too. Bottom line is, you’ll feel good drinking it, and it’s downright delicious.

Let me show you how to make it!

Ingredients for iced cherry apple tea

Let’s Talk Ingredients

  • Black Cherry Berry tea bags
  • Bragg’s apple cider vinegar
  • Sweetener

Tip: If you’re using a dry sweetener like Truvia or sugar, add it while the tea is still warm so it dissolves fully. The beauty of this recipe is that you can make it as sweet or tart as you like. I use 3 packets of Truvia, but cane sugar, honey, or even Splenda all work.

How to Make Iced Cherry Apple Tea

1. Steep the Tea

In a quart-sized mason jar or pitcher, steep 2 Black Cherry Berry tea bags in 1 cup of boiling water. Let it steep for a good 15 minutes—you want all that cherry flavor to come through.

2. Add the Good Stuff

Remove the tea bags and stir in the 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and sweetener of choice while the tea is still warm. Give it a good stir so everything dissolves nicely.

3. Fill with Ice and Water

Top off your jar with ice and cold water until it reaches the top. Give it another stir, and you’re ready to sip!

FAQs & Tips

Can I use a different tea blend?

Absolutely! While this recipe is made for a fruity herbal base, feel free to experiment with green tea, white tea, or a more floral eternity blend if that’s your vibe. Just keep in mind that caffeinated teas like black tea will change your drink’s energy levels.

What if I don’t like apple cider vinegar?
Try using just 1 tablespoon to start, or swap it for a splash of lemon juice. The acidity gives this iced tea its bright, zippy flavor, but it doesn’t need to be overpowering.

Can I serve it hot?
You can! Just steep the tea, mix in your sweetener and vinegar, and skip the ice. It makes a comforting, cozy hot tea with a slightly tangy twist. Alternatively, you can check out this Hot Spiced Apple Cider recipe!

How long does it last in the fridge?
If you do decide to make a larger batch, this iced tea keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days. You might even find the flavor gets stronger and fruitier as it sits.

  1. Hi!
My husband had severe gout and I’ve had osteoarthritis 45 years. In my teens, my stepmom taught me the benefits of ACV for LOTS of things. I’d take a teacup filed halfway with ACV,the rest of the way with hot water (same temp as coffee) and a healthy glob of raw local honey, every morning. I’ve probably taken as total of 6 to 12 individual tablets that were Rx in all those years. But the REAL ‘miracle’ drink evolved when we were on the Smokies and my husband forgot his gout meds. We went into a health food store we stumbled on and the sweet lady there heard us talking, saying ‘I don’t mean to interrupt but my husband had it real bad. Now he drinks equal parts BRAGG’S ACV, hot water, raw honey, AND pure cherry juice. She said that real, pure cherry nice is kind of expensive but nowhere near what his Rx was AND he’d been got free for a number of years. My husband and I both tried it. After a while, he didn’t get it anymore either, plus it helped my arthritis.
I’m liking forward to seeing more of your teas and other users for ACV.

  2. Hi Christy: I purchased the vinegar and tea to make this. Do you stir the sediment back into the vinegar before you use in the recipe or do you leave the “mother” stuff at the bottom.

    Thank you kindly!

  3. I have used every flavor in the celestial seasonings fruit tea box. Delish! I also double the recipe and use it as a concentrate. Quick fix for the day.

    1. That’s just what I was going to ask, if other flavors work as well. I don’t have the black cherry one but have other flavors on hand.

  4. Man, this is good stuff! I don’t even have a Coke every day now. I’ve got my mom and husband drinking it now, too. I only do 1 tablespoon of Braggs because I’m a lightweight. 😉 I just made a jar using the blueberry tea out of the sampler box and it is my new favorite flavor, followed by raspberry zinger. Thanks for sharing and I’m looking forward to your other Vintea recipes.

  5. I can’t wait to try this! I also wanted to say that I never get tired of your “Pick” stories and pictures! He’s got as much personality as you, Christy!

  6. Just tried this today with the Wild Berry Zinger. I only used 1 tablespoon of ACV in it, but it’s still a bit to “pickley” for me. I think I’ll have to skip this one.
