Iced Cherry Apple Tea
There’s nothin’ wrong with an ice-cold pop every once in a while, but this Iced Cherry Apple Tea is a great way to stay hydrated without reaching for soda or super sugary drinks. The sweet cherry flavor, natural citrus notes, and bold tea blend mellow it out beautifully!

Why You’ll Love This Iced Cherry Apple Tea
If you’re looking for a naturally sweet, antioxidant-packed drink that’s surprisingly good for you, boy, do I have the tea for you! This mix is bold, tart, and fruity with a clean finish, thanks to black cherry berry tea and Bragg’s apple cider vinegar. Add your favorite sweetener, some ice, and you’ve got the perfect summer sipper. Or spring. Or Tuesday afternoon. Honestly, it’s a great iced tea any time of year—it’s part herbal tea and part tangy refresher.
This stuff has helped me kick my cravings for junk food and my one true weakness, Dirty Dr. Pepper. Just make sure you’re using the good stuff with the “mother” at the bottom (I swear by Bragg’s), and you’re sipping on a probiotic boost, too. Bottom line is, you’ll feel good drinking it, and it’s downright delicious.
Let me show you how to make it!

Let’s Talk Ingredients
- Black Cherry Berry tea bags
- Bragg’s apple cider vinegar
- Sweetener
Tip: If you’re using a dry sweetener like Truvia or sugar, add it while the tea is still warm so it dissolves fully. The beauty of this recipe is that you can make it as sweet or tart as you like. I use 3 packets of Truvia, but cane sugar, honey, or even Splenda all work.

How to Make Iced Cherry Apple Tea
1. Steep the Tea
In a quart-sized mason jar or pitcher, steep 2 Black Cherry Berry tea bags in 1 cup of boiling water. Let it steep for a good 15 minutes—you want all that cherry flavor to come through.

2. Add the Good Stuff
Remove the tea bags and stir in the 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and sweetener of choice while the tea is still warm. Give it a good stir so everything dissolves nicely.

3. Fill with Ice and Water
Top off your jar with ice and cold water until it reaches the top. Give it another stir, and you’re ready to sip!

Storage
This apple cider vinegar tea recipe makes just 1 glass, so there’s no need to store leftovers. Simply double the recipe if making it for more than one person at a time!
Can I use a different tea blend?
Absolutely! While this recipe is made for a fruity herbal base, feel free to experiment with green tea, white tea, or a more floral eternity blend if that’s your vibe. Just keep in mind that caffeinated teas like black tea will change your drink’s energy levels.
What if I don’t like apple cider vinegar?
Try using just 1 tablespoon to start, or swap it for a splash of lemon juice. The acidity gives this iced tea its bright, zippy flavor, but it doesn’t need to be overpowering.
Can I serve it hot?
You can! Just steep the tea, mix in your sweetener and vinegar, and skip the ice. It makes a comforting, cozy hot tea with a slightly tangy twist. Alternatively, you can check out this Hot Spiced Apple Cider recipe!
How long does it last in the fridge?
If you do decide to make a larger batch, this iced tea keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days. You might even find the flavor gets stronger and fruitier as it sits.

Thrilled to learn about Sweetie’s return and the adoption of Pick
Thank you Nellie!!!
Thanks for sharing! I teach school and have to leave fairly early (6:50) with two sweet girls in tow. Could I make this ahead the night before and put it in the fridge? Would it change the flavor?
Hi Jodi!! You could certainly make it the night before!! I put my left-over in a mason jar in the fridge until I am ready for my next glass. Just don’t add ice so it doesn’t get watered down. 🙂
2 stores. Couldn’t find black cherry tea. So…I bought little squeezie bottles of black cherry drink enhancer and a presweetened tea. Mixed in the vinegar and water and had instant delicious drink! Could no believe how yummy it is.
I am so glad you liked it Pat!!!
Christy, I cried when Sweetie left. Today I cried again when I found out she is home… and I cried some more when I read the story of Pick! Yes, I too think God had a hand in all of that. I’m so happy for your sweet little family.
Over the years I’ve brought home quite a few dogs that had done the “pick me happy dance.” LOL Seriously hard to resist!! I’m now down to a 13 lb. peekapoo, a 76 lb. Belgian Malinois (a type of police dog) and a huge German Shepherd… oh and down to one cat. Have always been a huge animal lover. Having my guard dogs makes me feel more secure now since I’m a 72 year old widow. They’re a lot of work, what with training and all but I’m so glad I have them! I love them and they all love me. 🙂 Never a dull moment around here
Your cherry drink sounds wonderful and I just happen to have a bottle of vineger with the mother. Will make it as soon as I get the cherry tea.
Nancy
Thank you so much for all of your concern and caring Nancy. Everyone praying with me meant more than can ever be imagined!! I hope you enjoy the VinTea!!
So happy Sweetie is back!!
I got all misty reading this. Miracles do happen.
I am interested in more of the ACV recipes. I can’t do cherry…I wonder what it would taste like with red zinger??
Thank you Shirley! Ohhh, I bet it would be good, if you try it please let me know!!
Christy,
To save your sanity, (& the neighbors) I highly recommend a practice pad for your drummer! It’s a round, rubber thing-ie that fits on top of the drum and muffles the sound! I promise, it’s worth the cost & lasts forever.
Thanks for the tip Noelle!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this recipe. I’ve read many articles on Apple Cider Vinegar and the benefits. My Mom and Grandmother swore that it helped Arthritis!! Love you and your family!!!
Thank you Ruth, I hope you get a chance to try it soon!
