Cheese Soup – Customize Each Bowl!

The Ingredients You’ll Need to Make this Cheese Soup recipe are:
- Borden® Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- Butter, Heavy Cream (or milk)
- Onion
- Chicken Broth
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
Note: It is best not to use pre-shredded cheese for this as it won’t melt as well as the block cheese will.

While Brady handles the cheese grating, Katy is getting started with the first step over on the stovetop.
I am specifically using Borden® Cheese here because it is delicious, all natural, and is made by a cooperative of over 8,000 family owned dairy farms across the United States. The cheeses they offer include: Mild Cheddar, Mozzarella, Mexican, Swiss, Sharp Cheddar, American, Colby Jack, and more. They are available in singles, shreds, chunks, slices, strings, and snacks! This is creamy, flavorful, delicious cheese made in our homeland and it just makes every dish better.

This cheese soup is as simple as can be to make.
- Melt butter in a medium stock pot over medium heat.
- Add onions and cook, stirring often, until browned.
- Add in broth, cream, and seasonings.
- Reduce to simmer and cook, stirring often, for about ten minutes.
- Add in shredded cheese and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted.

It’s just hubby and I, and we do eat out in weekends a lot but mostly during week I cook and we eat together.
Great picture of the kiddos! Thanks for sharing the recipe. I just love your cookbooks!
I live alone, but look forward to eating Sunday dinner with my parents and siblings every week.
We make a point to always have Sunday supper as a family,
It’s just hubby and I now but we sit down together every night for our evening meal. This just started happening a few weeks ago as he had a pro shop at our local bowling alley and he was always home later after I had already eaten. He finally closed it after about 15 years and is home every evening. It’s nice to enjoy a meal together again. We enjoy Sunday lunches with our children and their families almost every Sunday.
Because we are both retired, we are able to eat breakfast and dinner together every day! Sometimes I run out of stuff to make and this Cheese Soup looks easy to make and will be something different!
Having supper together with family is the best part of the day!
