This Cinnamon Sugar Dessert Pizza recipe combines the buttery flakiness of crescent rolls with warm cinnamon and just the right amount of sugar, giving you everything you could want in a dessert to satisfy that sweet tooth!
Why Use Crescent Dough Pizza Crust?
While you could make the dough yourself, using canned crust takes the waiting game (and having to start from scratch) out of the picture.
Not to mention, homemade dough can be finicky. There’s a fine line between over and under-kneading. So… less margin for error! Premade dough, however, offers a buttery, flaky crust that bakes in a fraction of the time.
And when you turn it into a cinnamon sugar dessert pizza? Things really get taken up a notch! Bring it to a potluck, make it for the kids—heck, you could even make it the grand finale of your next pizza night!

How to Make Cinnamon Sugar Dessert Pizza
- To start, preheat your oven to 375°F. Then line a 10-12 inch round pizza pan or baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unroll the crescent dough onto the pan. If using crescent rolls, press the seams together to form one solid sheet.
3. Gently stretch and press the dough into a round shape, about 10-11 inches wide. Lightly roll or fold the outer edge to create a raised crust border.
4. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with vanilla extract and brush it evenly over the dough, including the crust edge.
5. In another bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle the mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is puffed and golden brown and the sugar topping is bubbling lightly. Then let the pizza cool for about 10 minutes before glazing or dusting.
7. Now in a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth and fluffy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until well combined. Stir in milk 1 teaspoon at a time until the glaze is thick but pipe-able.
8. Transfer the glaze to a small sandwich bag and snip a tiny piece off one corner. Pipe the glaze in a zigzag pattern across the cooled pizza for a clean, polished finish.
9. Once the glaze has set slightly, lightly dust the top of the pizza with powdered sugar using a fine mesh strainer.
*I know I did the reverse looking at the photos, but it doesn’t really matter either way!
10. Cut into wedges and serve warm or at room temperature.

Super Sweet Topping Ideas
Think about everything you have on traditional pizza: cheese, maybe some veggies and meat, and even a dash of Italian seasoning. Use that same concept and add toppings and a sprinkle of pizzazz to create your dessert masterpiece!
The toppings will be your favorite part of the dessert pizza, trust me. But with so many choices, you might have to make this recipe over and over to indulge in them all.
Some ways to customize your pizza include:
- Fresh fruit
- Canned pie filling
- Caramel sauce
- Melted chocolate or peanut butter
- Chocolate chips
- Pecans or walnuts
- Granola
- Maple syrup
- Crushed cookies
- Shaved chocolate
- Sprinkles
- Cool whip
- A scoop of vanilla ice cream per piece
- A buttery crumble topping
Storage
Although best enjoyed fresh, this dessert will last in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. If you’re serving this dessert with fresh fruit or whipped cream, keep the fruit and cream separate so the crust retains its crispness.
If you plan to reheat the pizza, place it in an oven-safe pan and heat for 5-10 minutes at 350°F. Keep an eye on it! You don’t want it to over-heat or burn.
