What a wonderful year we’ve had here on SouthernPlate! I’ve so enjoyed getting to hear about you and your families, share my family with you, and come together each day at our little virtual supper table. The Southern Plate Facebook page and Instagram have grown drastically and our Front Porch Fellowship Group, where we’ve recently started our daily scripture reading plan, is thriving.
It’s been a great blessing having you in my life and I want to thank you for the honor of letting me be a small part of yours. Today, as we wind up the year, I thought I’d share the posts from 2017 that y’all loved the most. I hope you find a new favorite among the list and if you do, be sure and come back and tell me! 2018 holds more meals together, more conversation, and more time spent connecting with those dearest to us. This is a favorite of my husband and kids alike so I usually make at least two loaves on the days I bake it. They never last long.
The BEST Thousand Island I’ve Ever Tasted takes the prize of #2 – and the fact that the #2 recipe is a salad dressing on a Southern cooking site really says a LOT about this dressing!
This delicious bread comes in at #3 with little surprise. It tastes as wonderful as it looks!
