What You’ll Need To Make Crescent Roll Meat Pies

- lunchmeat roast beef
- lunchmeat chicken
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- shredded cheddar cheese
- crescent roll dough
- Ro-Tel tomatoes
How to Make Crescent Roll Meat Pies
Start by dicing the roast beef and chicken lunch meats on a cutting board.
Then, prepare a baking sheet by spraying with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
Open the chilled crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. This is best if your dough is really cold. If you let it sit at room temperature it gets very sticky and stretchy and harder to work with.
Divide and place the chopped lunchmeat, shredded mozzarella cheese, and shredded cheddar cheese in center of the widest part of the dough triangle.
And a teaspoon of drained Ro-Tel tomatoes, making sure you leave plenty of room at the edge to seal the packet.
Start by folding the two corners of the dough along the short side of the triangle.
Then roll the remaining dough around the meat and cheese mixture.
Once rolled, seal the edges by gently pushing the ridges into the dough underneath.
Place the Crescent Roll Meat Pies on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake at 350 for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
Serve the mini meat pies immediately!
How To Store Crescent Roll Meat Pies
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days and reheat them in the microwave, oven, or air fryer until heated through.
- You can also freeze them as described below for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating as above.

Campfire Meat Pies
Here’s what I do if I’m taking my meat pies camping. First, allow them to cool completely. Then wrap them individually in aluminum foil and place these wrapped bundles in a labeled zipper-seal bag. Place them in the fridge or freezer, depending on if your trip is in a couple of days or a couple of weeks.
Transport them to the campsite in an ice-filled cooler. Place them at the fire’s edge or over hot coals until heated through.

Wow, these remind me of the Hot Pockets I love with the ham and cheese…but these are going to be much, much better!!!!
Dear Christy
These look like like mini-Cornish pasties, but without the swede, onion and carrot. However, you would need giant size croissants if you were to put these in the mythical Alambama-style Cornish puffs. haha
Oh Yeah! Sloppy Joe’s sound really good. I also like those li’l smokies sausages with cheese. They’re Great! 🙂
One Word! Sloppy Joe Mix! Oh wait that’s three words.. four if you count the exclamation point. Now I wouldn’t normally include the exclamation point but if you do a character count on a computer, it counts by golly!
anyway.. sloppy joes get my vote… but not the exclamation point… leave those out of my sandwiches.. I prefer commas,,, they taste better.
I make these for my boys all the time! Instead of cresent rolls I use frozen bread dough. They are Awesome! I plan on making some this weekend with steak and cheese. yumm 🙂
How about a rueben type of sandwich? You know, leftover corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and russian dressing? Can’t wait to try all of these ideas! We go camping at least 3-4 weeks a year and never feel like cooking the day we set up camp. This would be a perfect time for these little tasty pies! Thanks so much Chrissie for giving me the perfect dinner for those “setting up camp” meals!!
I like ham, swiss, and honey mustard. 🙂
